Do you sometimes find that you need to learn how to speeak confidently on facebook live?

The biggest visibility problem many creators and entrepreneurs face in their business is speaking on camera. It’s not that they’re afraid of being seen or heard, but the thought of speaking to a live audience online fills them with anxiety.

Been there countless times.

I actually woke up last Tuesday feeling like a panic attack was waiting to happen. But then, it was Tuesday- live streams day! People watching live. Easy enough? Yeah, this should be fine. After all of these years of doing live streams with no problems at all – why the stressed feeling on a day that more people had confirmed to show up live?

Sat down in front of the computer and tried not to think about how nervous I felt as if that might help relieve some pressure or something. Nope, nothing happened except for an even tighter knot in my stomach as minutes passed until finally, it was time to start…

  1. Be sure to look into the camera: When doing your Livestream, be sure to look into the camera! It will make you feel more confident and help you connect with your audience.
  2. Smile! It’s the easiest way to look good on camera: Doing a Livestream can be intimidating, but there’s something you can do to look good on camera: smile. Smiling will help you feel confident and it’ll show people that you’re comfortable! When you smile, it makes people happy. When you’re happy on camera, the audience is more likely to enjoy your video and want to watch more of your videos. And it’s the easiest way to look good on camera. That’s why, I recommend you smile as much as possible!
  3. Find a quiet place to film: One of the things that are important when doing a Livestream is to find a quiet place. This can be hard, but if you need to ask for permission from your children or people around, then do it! I recommend somewhere with enough lighting and not too many people around because that’ll help you get into the mood for filming.
  4. Remember that there are people watching who want to hear what you have to say so don’t be afraid! You can interact with them by using emotes and typing keywords like “hi” or “thank you”.

Have you. Hello and welcome now. Have you ever. Being in a position where you want to go live on Facebook, but then you’re afraid. Okay. Um, this is the video for you. Okay. [00:00:32] Um, place that I’m going live on and, uh, yeah. So I’m going to wait for Facebook also, too. Uh, very good. I can see that I’m live. All right. So yeah. So if you’ve ever wanted to go live and you’re afraid, you know, one of the very big question that I get all the time is how do I speak confidently on Facebook?

[00:00:57] How do I, you know, go live and actually, you know, Just be myself and all of that, right? This is what we’re going to be talking about today. And my name is Olu Sobanjo. Um, uh, I help post driven entrepreneurs and business, uh, creators, you know, to use the power of their stories to make. [00:01:36] All right. So without wasting much time, we’re going to jump right in now. I S I S I shared a message of how last week I was going to go live. And last week out of so many other years, I mean, months and weeks that I’ve been going live, you know, for the last three years or thereabouts, I’ve been going live on Facebook almost every week.

[00:02:02] Okay. If I don’t go live on in my group, It’s on Facebook, uh, on my page or either of my groups, you know, one of my groups I’ll be going like, but last week I was going to go live and it was later that I realized that I was so stressed about it. No something, the reason why I was really, I mean, I wasn’t stressed, uh, mentally about it, but my buddy was actually afraid for some reason.

[00:02:31] Now the reason why I I’m, I’m actually good to beat maybe the best person to tell you, you know, that confidence, video, camera, confidence, and, and all of these things is possible for you is because I still have the same problem. Okay. So, so what, um, um, what I’m doing, sorry about that is I’m fixing my other phone just so I can get, uh, comments from you.

[00:02:56] Okay. Very good. I can see that I have. Uh, someone with me there. Now, if you’re watching live, please do hashtag life. [00:03:16] Yes. So, so the idea is there’s a lot, a lot, a lot of. You know, you out there that are just like me, and this is why I want you to realize that even though you feel nervous about going live on Facebook or any other platform that you do, your live streams, it’s extremely important that you know, that there are some things that you’re going to learn.

[00:03:45] Okay. Your, your, the fact that you’re new to YouTube. Hey, it’s good to see you early. You know, the fact that you’re new to YouTube live doesn’t mean that you’re brand new to your business. Okay. So now that that’s one major thing that I want you to realize that you see a lot of times where I’m afraid, we’re afraid of, you know, going live on YouTube or going live on Facebook because we are new in this world of, you know, going live.

[00:04:19] This doesn’t mean that you’re not smart. Okay. This doesn’t mean that you’re not, you know, not legible about what you share with your audience. Okay. And so, Hey, or two-ways good to see you. It’s really good to see you, you know, thank you for joining me live. Hi, uh, chin, you know, so, so I want you to know that it’s not about the fact that you are not smart.

[00:04:45] So get that out of the way. The fact that you’re nervous. You may not even like I was sharing about my experience last week. I wasn’t even nervous physically. I was still doing everything that I needed to do. However, my body was, you know, very nervous and I was feeling the tightness in my tummy for a long period of time.

[00:05:06] You know why? Because last week I did a lot more reaching out. Okay. I did a lot more reaching out and I reached out to, you know, my heat email list is the only set of people that I usually invite for my live streams. But this time around I sent it, I knew I was going to post it to my Facebook profile.

[00:05:24] You know, I’m going to post it to everywhere, you know? And so because of that, I began to, you know, feel. Self-conscious that, what if you know, who sees it, who’s going to see it. Okay. And because of the fact also that I knew I was going to be showing you guys, you know, a brand new system that I just got a couple of days before that, and I was enjoying it and I felt, you know what I need to share with everyone.

[00:05:52] You know, because of that, I began to, you know, shut down inside and I began to be afraid. Okay. You know, so, so it’s thank you for the, for the hearts. I really appreciate them, you know? So, so now this is why I want you to know that let’s just get that out of the way. First of all, that, if you have that at the back of your mind that I know what I’m sharing.

[00:06:15] I know my message. I know my, uh, the, the expertise that I have. You know, it’s going to be, it gives you that breathing space to know that, okay. Even though I am feeling, you know, Self-conscious right now. It’s still not a big deal. I’m going to be fine. Okay. So, so now is there anyone that is watching live? I can see that I have five people here on Facebook.

[00:06:40] I’m not sure what’s going on on YouTube. I really hope it’s going okay. You know, and for, for those of you that I hear life, can you tell me, have you try to do videos on Facebook or wherever, and you’ll have challenges. You start to doubt yourself. You start to feel, you know, scared. Tell me in the comments.

So, so now let’s go straight into what I want you to start to look at now. You see. In my video, like a pro challenge that I do, one of the biggest problems, you know, that people ask about, you know, and I’ve seen is if my phone says all the time.

[00:07:31] Yes. All the time. Okay. One of the, and I knowing you very well. I know, you know what you’re talking about. I know, you know, your ex you have your story. Figure it out. Okay. And you’re figuring it out as you go too. Okay. Right. You know, but, but you see, the thing is a lot of the times people are still very afraid of coming out there because of who is going to hear it.

[00:07:56] Who’s going to hear it. Okay. Who is going to, you know, what’s he, somebody that I don’t know, seasoned, what did people start to judge me? What do people start to feel like? I don’t know what I’m talking about. These things are valued by the way. Thanks, chewing. I see why. Okay. So, so now the very first idea that I’d like to share with you is in order for you to know, you know, and, and all through the month, I’ve been talking about this.

[00:08:24] I’ve been, you know, sharing, I mean, in the past, Three posts that I’ve done. I’ve talked about, you know, how to get what you’re saying. Okay. Last week I talked about how to get what you’re saying and get it talk clearly as if you’re talking to, you know, a real person. Okay. Sophie. Hey, I see Sophie there. Yes, but you got to be yourself and keep going even professionals.

[00:08:48] Absolutely. But there’s a, the show must go on. That’s exactly it that’s exactly it because you see the thing is in one of the previous videos that I’ve been, that I did. I said, you must schedule your live stream. Have a special date and time that you do it because if you don’t, you’re not going to do it.

[00:09:10] I was in a conversation with a client yesterday and you know, and, and eventually, you know, she eventually did it. And if you’re watching this live now, and if you’re watching me live, you know, you know yourself, she eventually did it, but everything else went wrong. Why? Because you don’t have a date set, but as soon as you set a date and the time.

[00:09:32] It’s going to happen. Imagine, you know, the TV series, the TV shows you go that it’s going to happen no matter what. Okay. So the first idea is you have to reprogram yourself. It’s it happens in the mind, okay. That you reprogram your mind and you say, you know what, it’s going to happen. Now. This is where you say, feel the fear, but do it anyway.

[00:09:58] Okay. Feel the fear, but do it anyway. Now. After all that is, you know, you’ve scheduled your, your timing, you scheduled, you know, you, you know what you’re talking about? Like I said, last week, uh, in, in my, uh, thing now I want to go to some practical things that you can do, practical things that you can do that would.

[00:10:19] Give you a boost in the way you’re projecting yourself. Because again, you know what you’re talking about. If you’re an entrepreneur and you’re, you know, you sell whatever it is that you sell, whatever it is that your message is all about. You, you know, I am sure that you know what you’re talking about. So you have your, your game clap, but now the thing is the camera, especially because you’re looking at yourself in the camera, you’re looking at yourself in the computer, on the phone, like right now, I see myself, even though I’m not looking at myself, that’s what I’m seeing.

[00:10:54] I’m not looking at myself. I’m looking at you in the camera. And that’s the very first thing that you’re going to learn. First thing to do when you’re doing your pump evidence, uh, you know, you want to have confidence in your, um, in your presentations on video is identify where your camera is and look straight into the camera.

[00:11:17] Okay, because what happens is the per the people that are on the other side of the camera will start to see you as very confident. And I’m telling you this, because I want you to see what people are seeing, you know, as they’re looking at you. When they see you looking straight into the camera, obviously you can look around and you can do other things.

[00:11:39] However, you know, don’t look around too much, you know, like when I started, you know, and most people, when you start it, when you start to do videos online, what you would notice is you would see yourself going like, um, you’re talking, you’re saying something you’re trying to think and you’re looking away, you know, because you know, we, we just, you know, look away, you know, can you feel, what, what, what are you feeling as I’m looking at it?

[00:12:02] Can you please write something in the, in the comments, you know, fear, feel the fear and do it anyways. Yes. Yes. That’s, that’s a title of a book actually that I read last year. Uh, you know, and as I’m looking away, you know, tell me what you’re seeing as a, compared to me, looking at you and talking to you.

[00:12:22] Right. You know, if I look away, you know, it feels like I’m either not engaged. And sometimes it’s projected as lack of confidence. Okay. Lack of confidence, you know that why can’t you look, you know, it’s very similar to when I’m talking to you face to face. If I’m talking to you face to face and I look down, I’m looking down, I’m looking away, you know, um, you know, it’s, it projects, lack of confidence, even though where I grew up.

[00:12:52] Well, I grew up in Nigeria. If you’re here and you’re watching from Nigeria, you can put great, God bless Nigeria in the comments, right where I grew up. You don’t look at people in the face. That’s actually a sign of respect. Okay. In Nigeria. However, if you’re because of the fact that when you’re talking to people on Facebook, you know, on Facebook or Instagram or wherever you’re doing your videos, You have to be looking at them in the face or else, especially because you’re going to be reaching out to people that are not from your culture.

[00:13:24] Okay. And what you need to do is you want to look at them right there on the camera. It shows engagement, it shows, you know, connection. It shows. Confidence. Thank you. God bless Nigeria. Yeah. So, so you see, it’s extremely important that you learn you practice, the habit of looking straight into the camera because it provides it’s projected as confidence.

[00:13:49] Okay. So after you’ve, you know, you feel the fear you schedule the thing you’re, you know, when you’re ready to do it anyway. You want to tell yourself I’m going to look straight into the camera and as much as possible, sometimes you look away and you do other things. However you want to always come back to your audience.

[00:14:09] Because when you’re talking to them, they feel connected to you. Like, like right now, I feel like I, I imagine in my mind that I am looking into your eyes as I’m looking at the camera. Okay. And I almost feel like I can see  Sophie. I can sit you away, you know? And I have you almost like in a, in a round table conference where we’re just talking, you know, at, at coffee, at a coffee table, right.

[00:14:36] This is exactly the way to, you know, the mindset behind doing this. Okay. Now the next point that I have for you there is, is this okay? You see your smile. Smile is extremely important, extremely, extremely important. Now the easiest way to be seen, to look like a confident person, to be able to connect with the people that you’re talking to.

[00:15:11] Is your smile. Your smile. You’re not buying it. Okay. You’re not buying your smile. So you project your smile on you feel more relaxed when you smile. And, you know, as a matter of fact, I designed material that I want each person here, you know, that is watching life, everyone that is watching life as soon as possible.

So, so again, the thing is, when you look in the camera, when you look in the camera, you, you project, you know, confidence, but again, when you add smile to it, when you add your smile to it, you know, it’s. You make, you know, when people are looking at you, I can see a lot of people jumped off, you know, that’s fine, you know, so that you can go get it.

[00:17:12] Okay. Come back and watch this, you know? So, so the thing is if you, if you go and, um, and if you smile, what happens is you connect with people, better. People feel at ease, people feel, you know, that. You know, life is good because you’re making that, you know, you you’re making their day, just each smile, like, like I’m smiling at you right now.

[00:17:36] It feels like, you know, the more you don’t have got many times, people will say to me, I smile back at you. When I see your smile, that’s exactly what you want. That’s exactly what you want to for your audience. In a lot of times, people are having a bad day and just coming to hang out with you on Facebook live or some wherever you hang out.

[00:17:56] Is the only time that they are getting, especially now, like they are getting somebody to smile to you know, they’re, they’re getting somebody to come next with and respond to. Okay. No, the last one that I’m going to talk about is, is it’s more like a technical and you know, it’s a little bit technical, but, but at the same time, it’s very practical.

[00:19:23] And, uh, and, and that’s, you know, the venue where you do your live stream. Okay. Where are you doing your livestream? Now? You want to find a quiet place. Where people are not where there’s not a lot of noise. Okay. Where there’s not a lot of noise and there’s not a lot of, you know, buzz going around and there’s not a lot of clutter in your background.

[00:19:48] There’s not a lot of, you know, there’s good lighting. You want to find a good location for your livestream. Okay. When you have a good location for your live stream, what you do, what, what it projects is. Simple professional, uh, calm. Okay. Now I know that some of you here are some of you that are watching this.

[00:20:10] You have little children. Now, if you have little children and you need to do your livestream, if these are children that you can negotiate with, please do. I do that with my children, you know, just a few minutes before I went live, one of my children, you know, one of my sons had something exciting that you needed to share with me.

[00:20:29] And he checked and he saw that I was not live yet. And he was like, just before you go live, I need to share something with you. I, you know, I did this, I did this, I did this exciting, you know, and I was very excited. But then immediately after that, he was like, Have a great time. And he left because he knows that I’m going live and I need some quiet you know, space.

[00:20:51] Okay. However, if it’s not possible for you, if it’s not possible for you to, you know, to get that, uh, you know, that’s connection, you know, like you have a very small, tiny baby, and you’re there. You may need to schedule in a time that the child is sleeping. You know, maybe, you know, you’re maybe sleeping or, or the, you know, where you can find somebody to watch the baby so you can do the livestream.

[00:21:19] However, sometimes accidents will happen. Your child’s can come into in shorts. There was a video on CNN. This man was being interviewed on CNN and the little child walked into the room. There’s nothing we can do about it. And we saw the, you know, Paul mom ran into grab the child and he’s like, the only thing I give you to do was to watch this job so that I could do a CNN interview.

[00:21:45] Well, life happens, you know, so, so if it happens that, you know, your child walks in people now know that you have children. And it’s a good thing. It’s called livestream for that because it’s real, it’s real life. Okay. So, so, but, but try your best to, to cut down on the noise. You know, if there’s construction going on outside, if there’s, you know, different things going on outside, you know, whatever it is, you want to reduce that negotiates with the people around you, you know, sometimes you may even need to go into the car.

[00:22:17] I have, I have been very creative. I’m not going to share it here because this is public. You know what? I can even share it. Have I’ve shared with some of you before I won’t share it. My Tommy’s afraid to share this in public, you know, because I have been really creative in the way I go. live okay Or do recordings.

[00:22:40] Okay. You know, and I have done recordings in different places that I’ve done in my car. Okay. I’ll say I’ve done it in my bathrooms. Okay. You know, and, and. You would think, Oh, it’s so pretty. You have a pretty nice background and all that. It was, you know, my, my bathroom, you know, so, so you can be creative because at that time, in my life, that was the only place I could lock up.

[00:23:05] And, you know, my children would not, you know, be shouting and all of that. Okay. So, because at that time they were really young. Okay. So, um, yeah. If you are here at, you have your business, you want to be visible online because you know, people need what you have. People are going to be blessed by what you have.

[00:23:27] People are going to, you know, see, uh, you know, a lot from you. Yeah. But yes, it’s gotta be going. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. I’m seeing the, the comments. Okay. So, so now it’s, it’s, it’s extremely important that you’re relaxed and you tell yourself. You know, let’s go out there now. I have one bonus points that I’m going to share with you, for those of you that are not, you know, that don’t have, maybe you’re watching this where after the, that gives, you know, uh, it’s past when two people, you know, I’m going to share one more, one more point, one more point for camera confidence.

[00:24:05] One more point. Is this now that people, I want you to remember that. There are people out there that are looking to hear what you have to say. There’re People out there that want to learn from you. There are people out there that are really excited about getting what you have for them. Okay. So don’t be afraid of the camera.

It’s just, the camera is just, you know, like last week I was telling you how tied to my Tommy was, but I still went all the same because. Already scheduled to do it, and I’m not going to back down. No people need to hear the message.

[00:26:15] I want my clients and my audience to be able to, you know, be able to present their stories with ease. Okay. So this is exactly the thing that I have for you today. [00:28:47] Okay. The reason why you are afraid to go live. The reason why many of the times, as an entrepreneur, you will be afraid to go live is because you’re just discovering, you know, how Facebook works and how Instagram works and, and all of this, you know, uh, softwares that we use. Right. You know, but the truth of the matter is the more you do it, the more confident you’re going to look.

[00:29:14] Okay. Like last week, you know, even though I was, you know, I, I was goofing around and I was figuring it out. I still looked confident. I still didn’t look, you know, like, I didn’t know what I was doing. Why, because I know I have been doing this for three years, every single week. Right. There’s always a video somewhere that is going out.

[00:29:35] If it’s not live, is, is with my clients or with a group or, you know, so because of the fact that I’m doing that, it’s the repetition makes you, makes you become the expert in, in doing live streams. Okay. So don’t worry. You’re so I’m going to be an expert the first time you do it though, is going to be scary, but don’t worry.

[00:29:54] Like my client yesterday, she said to me, Oh, I was afraid I was scared, but to me. I’m happy because now she’s got it over with the first time she was doing livestream and then it’s it’s over. Okay. [00:04:44] Now this framework is right in here. Okay. And it’s not just the writing here to show you right. Attention writing stress, right. Desire, right. Action. No, it’s going to do the work for you. And this is why I’m like, wow. Well, I, I knew this for, I mean, I wish this was out after, you know, in all this years that I’ve been looking for it.

Hello and welcome. This is Olu. Sobanjo. Live streaming has become the newest thing in town that everybody uses for their, um, marketing. Okay. And today I know that a lot of people here I’ve been asking questions around, you know, what, how can I get streaming? How can I get engagements on my live streams?

[00:03:36] Okay. You know, a lot of people want to do this, but it’s really hard to know. How to actually make it work. And this is why I decided to do this because I’ve been using Facebook live for three years now. And, and that’s why I decided, you know, what, I better shed some of my favorite tips, uh, you know, with you all.

[00:03:58] So that you know exactly what to do with your live streaming. Now, if you’re here watching life, why don’t you do hashtag live in the comments? Because today, as a matter of fact, I’m actually streaming to a couple of places. Okay. So, so I’m testing out, you know, some of the softwares that I have that I can use to, um, Spread to my word out there.

[00:04:51] So I’m actually live in all of my groups and I’m also live on phase, uh, on YouTube as well. So, uh, if you’re wherever you’re watching this, please say in the comments so that I can connect with you. All right. So I always do watch time. Let’s jump in. Okay. Now. The fact that I said let’s jump in is actually the very first thing that I I’d like to mention now, because today I’ve done a little bit of housekeeping a little bit before I jumped into the, um, the material that I have for you is that’s the very first, and this is like pre pole pre protein that I’m sharing with you today, because I want you to know this, that.

[00:05:39] Even though it’s livestream. You still want to jump into the message or the material that you have for your people early enough. Okay. Because if you don’t jump in early enough, you’re going to lose out on the early waters. Okay. So you want to, you don’t want to wait. You and I see a lot of people would go live and they’ll be like, hello, everybody waiting and waiting for somebody to join them live.

[00:06:05] Are you going to join me? You know, I want you to bring it back to the mindset of doing a prerecorded videos. I mean, the, the prerecorded videos, if you’re doing the prerecorded videos, you will likely not, you know, wait for somebody to come and watch you just. Go and start doing the recording. Okay. So the same mindset needs to come into this that, you know, when you’re doing it, you’re doing it with the mind of people are going to, a lot of people are going to catch the replay.

[00:06:35] And so because of the fact that a lot of people are going to catch the replay, you want to jump straight into whatever it is that you have for them. Okay. So, so now this is one major thing, one major thing, because you know, apart from the five day, you’re going to have people watching you live, okay.

[00:06:53] Watching and hanging out with your life. So lots of more are going to join the replay. And that’s what I have discovered. Okay. So, so I want you to rest assured that it doesn’t matter whether it’s live or the replay people are getting what you’re trying to message that you’re trying to pass across. Okay.

[00:07:15] Now it’s a fun when you have, you know, people that are interacting with you live because you can ask. Questions and you can ask them, you know, what’s, what are you seeing? What do you get? Do you get it? You know, and you can interact with them. You know, so this is extremely important. And a lot of times, you know, they, they, they, the one idea actually that a lot of people leave out because when I was doing the preparation for this, um, life today, I did a little bit of research, you know, and, and when I’m talking about doing con uh, consistent content creation, There’s research that is involved.

[00:07:55] Okay. So I looked around and I look to see what people are saying, and there are many videos out there, but I decided to do this just so you get exact what you needed to pay attention to. And I discovered that there’s one major, major, major idea and teeth. That nobody talks about, you know, nobody wants to talk about that because it’s the main thing.

[00:08:19] Okay. And if you’re meeting me for the first time, I’m the video strategist and the business coach. So I wanted to use videos to make businesses, you know, to make your business work. Okay. And, and so a lot of times people live out on the juice of the information and the juice is. First before you start to do your live stream, have an idea of who you are doing the live stream for.

[00:08:47] Okay. Now, when we started doing business coaching, you know, and I do with my clients, my clients, you know, most of the times get tired of hearing ideal clients, ideal clients. Okay. Because if you don’t know who the person is that you’re making the videos for, what would happen is you start to your, your message will not be clear and you would continue to.

[00:09:07] You know, just  and go around and round because it’s not for the people that you’re making it for. So as long as you know, you have a clear idea of who you’re doing, your videos for. It eliminates a lot of the stress that you would have hot. Okay. It eliminates a lot of the stress that you would have had, you know, because now you know who you’re doing the videos for.

[00:09:34] And then, you know, remember when I said I did the research, when you’re doing your research, you do the research for the people that are. Your ideal audience, ideal clients, mostly your ideal clients are extremely important and it doesn’t matter where you’re doing your videos. Okay. Whether it’s, you’re doing it on your personal profile.

[00:09:57] Uh, there are different strategies around that. Whether you’re doing it on your personal profile or you’re doing it on your business page, or you’re doing it in your, uh, in your group. Okay. It doesn’t matter where you’re doing it, knowing who you’re doing it for is extremely important. And then that also would determine.

[00:10:17] What you’re going to do now, I’d like to get comments now because of the fact that, uh, uh, okay. Okay. Okay. So, so I’m, I’m thinking I’m going to need to get my comments from somewhere else today. So if you’re, if you’re getting, if you’re getting this and you have a comment, can you. Okay. Okay. Okay. Now I can see the people that I live with me.

[00:10:41] I’d be nice to have you nice to have you, and I can see very, I can see, uh, other people that are watching. Thank you now. So it’s extremely important that you know who you are, who you’re doing your live streaming for. No, who it is. Okay. For example, if you, I’m trying to remember, I’m not sure if Mary was the pharmacist.

[00:11:04] Okay. If you are just live, give me a comment in the, in the, um, In the linear comments there, I’d like to know if you are a pharmacist and you’re doing your videos to educate people about, you know, maybe their health or, you know, drug usage or things like that. You know, if you’re not Claire. Okay. If you okay.

[00:11:26] Very good. I’m glad you can see me in kitschy. Thank you. So, so you feel if you’re glad, I mean, if you’re not able to clearly know who that message is for who your message is. Serving, what would happen is you start to go around and around and around and, and, and then after a while, people are not able to, you know, get exactly what it is that you’re getting.

[00:11:49] I mean, you’re sharing with them. If today you come and you’re talking about, you know, travel and then tomorrow you’re coming, you’re talking about, you know, um, pets. Okay. After a while, people are not able to. Deliberately know who exactly what exactly is this person saying. Okay. So, so that’s why I want you to clarify.

[00:12:09] Okay. And then even when we start to talk about, you know, because I see in kitschy jump on there and I’m thinking you’re the, the advocate for boys. Okay. If I, if I’m getting it right, please remind me, or, or correct me, you know? So the question is, are you doing it for the boys or for the moms of the boys or for the dads of the boys?

[00:12:30] Okay. Now the idea is it’s kind of sounding a little, uh, Uh, you know, difficult to understand because of the fact that you start to wonder, okay, who, you know, they all need to hear me, but that’s the biggest, biggest, biggest problem that a lot of people face. That’s the, okay. Very good. That’s the biggest problem that a lot of people face when you’re trying to get people to, you know, most of the people that I work with.

[00:12:56] You want to do videos so that you can sell a product that you have so that you can sell a service that you have now for me, what I have is I have. Different things that I do with my clients. Okay. I have my consulting, I have my coaching, I have my Academy. Okay. So different things that I have I sell. Okay.

[00:13:19] And this is exactly the same thing that you’re going to do that as your, you know, and, and, and so, because of the fact that I have my consultant, I have my coaching and I have my Academy. I can’t, my message always leads to. Either of my products that I sell. My message always leads to that because most of the people that I get as clients, you know, as a matter of fact, yesterday, we had the very first, you know, um, monthly meeting in the Academy, you know, it’s a brand new Academy that I.

[00:13:55] That I just designed for people that are just starting out. They can’t afford coaching yet, or they are not, they can’t see the need for coaching yet or, or consulting. They are not at that stage. Okay. Or some of them have gone through the coaching and they need more hand holding. This is exactly, you know, what that Academy was, you know, is about.

[00:14:14] And, and so when I, when I was in the. You know, meeting yesterday, the video calls that we had yesterday, beautiful people, wonderful people, you know, but, but you see the thing is each one of those people came in as a result of the live streams that I do last week. I had, uh, you know, another clients, you know, in my consulting business where I was helping them to run their show and run, you know, the big events that they had, you know, and, uh, and, and.

[00:14:43] This exactly the same way I got my clients to sign up, to work with me. Okay. So, so you have to, you know, before you just go out there and start to do videos and videos and videos. Which is what I’m going to be talking about next. You need to, first of all, know who is my target audience, who is my target, um, um, clients that I’m doing this for.

[00:15:06] Okay. So, so if you wanna, uh, tell me in the, in the comments, do you know who your audience is? Do you know who you’re, you’re doing your videos, your live stream videos for, okay. Please put in the comments. If you know that the people put the name of the people. Okay. I help. Women or not, not women is to blanket.

[00:15:27] Okay. Moms of boys. Okay. I’m a mom of boys. Right. You know, and just write it in the comments and let’s, you know, let’s look at it together. Okay. Because it’s extremely important that you know exactly who you are doing your livestream for. Now, the next thing after knowing exactly who your target audience is, is you need to commit to us.

[00:15:53] Uh, uh, a schedule. Okay. When you’re doing your videos, you need to commit to a schedule and you have to commit to doing it consistently. Okay. Now a lot of times, you know, uh, people think that. I can just, you know, go online and I start to do videos and it doesn’t matter if I come back tomorrow and shot. I don’t feel like it because videos can be like that where you’re just like, you know what?

[00:16:21] I don’t feel like doing videos today. I’m not going to do videos today and I want you to picture it. Like, I like this. Imagine you have a store. And you choose not to go to store to your store, to open up your store. What would happen after a while? The first time somebody comes up and they try to, you know, reach out to you, they don’t find you.

[00:16:41] They don’t find you the next time they find you. And then the next time they don’t find you, they don’t find you after a while they say this guy is not serious or this lady is not serious. Okay. So this is exactly, again, all the videos that I do, I do them. Too, you know, and that I want my clients to do would be educational, inspirational, uh, you know, different things that you’re going to be sharing in your message.

[00:17:07] You want to share it with the aim of some of the people that are working, that are watching your, your life would be interested to work with you one-on-one or to work with you. And whatever it is that you sell, even if it’s a product that you sell, if you’re sharing on live stream like that, you’re able to consistently gather, you know, a group of people that need your expertise, okay.

[00:17:35] That need your expertise. And all you have to do is just show them how to get more. From you. Okay. So, so, but if you don’t have this consistently, uh, if you don’t set it up to, to happen consistently, what would happen is you’re not going to get the traction that you want for your livestream. Again, remember in order for you to make it, you have to do it consistently.

[00:18:00] Okay. I think there’s a con uh, comment there and I’m sorry, I’m looking down because I’m. That’s why my comment is I just realized from what you’re saying, that my target audience is specifically mothers with son. I was targeting daddies and mommies that thanks for that. Aha moment. Fantastic. Fantastic. As a matter of fact, this is exactly the same, um, um, uh, ha moment that one of my clients got in the Academy yesterday, you know, where we were seeing, you know, no, no, no, no, you don’t, you know, you don’t just reach out to everybody.

[00:18:32] If you reach out to everybody, what would happen is the people that don’t need to hear you will be hearing you. And the one that would need to make the decision is not the one that is listening to you. You know? So, so, and then even the times that you’re speaking to the one that makes the decision that you’re talking as if you’re talking to the one that just needs to have the information, you know, so, so all of this are modeled up and if you’re not clear on who you’re serving.

[00:18:58] It’s just going to go like that. So I’m really glad and kitschy that you got that from. Um, the message. All right. So, so now the, the idea is I’ve already shared, you know, for those of you that are just joining us, you know what I’m talking about, I’m sharing some of the tips that I have, you know, Learned over the last three years, more than three years now that I’ve been doing Facebook live, you know, and as a matter of fact today, I posted, I think, and I believe that I posted this to my YouTube channel.

[00:19:31] Okay. Because I have a tool here that I’m using to, to post, you know, and to do the two at the same time. But he’s a very first time that I am. I’m doing it officially. So. I’m just hoping and trusting that it’s also in YouTube, but if, if not, that’s fine as well. I can always go at it there. Yeah. So, but, but also, uh, you know, I was talking and I said, you know, the very first thing that you need to do is when you do your video livestream videos, you don’t start, you know, by perambulating and waiting and wondering I’m live, anybody joined me, you know?

[00:20:05] And then the next one is you want to. To, you know, be sure who your ideal client is, who are you talking to? Who is your video for? Okay. So that way you’re doing the research. You do your research with that in mind. And this, this one actually is the biggest of the biggest, because then that’s, I’m in your shot.

[00:20:24] This is what I share with my clients. Okay. So you’re getting the, the more, you’re getting more from me today. Cause you know, this is exactly what, this is the big strategy behind doing video, uh, live videos. Okay. And then I talked about being consistent. I also talked about, you know, the fact that when you’re doing your live stream, don’t wait and hope, you know, just waste time at the beginning, go straight to the point, do it like, uh, A prerecorded video, but then interact with people as they join you as well.

[00:20:58] Okay. So I have number four of them already shed and, uh, and the last one, and if I feel like it, I may just add another one, you know, but, but I’d like to hear from you. Okay. [00:21:45] There’s also now the grandfather, uh, tip that is, that would determine a lot or K or a lot of the kind of success that you’re going to get with your livestream. Okay. And, uh, and, and that is okay. I still didn’t get any comments in the, in the, I didn’t get anything in the comments, so I’m still waiting. But the last one right now, if I don’t get any comments, if I don’t hear from you, I’m going to keep the rest of my comments of my tips.

[00:22:19] Yeah. So, so anyway, the idea is that grandfather tip that I want you to pay close attention to is if you really want to sell your product. Whether it’s a service-based, uh, service or whether it’s, um, uh, whether it’s, you know, just, uh, I mean, whether it’s a product, you know, physical products that you sell, or whether it’s, you know, a freelance service or agency or any kind of thing like that, what you need to do is you need to plan it in advance.

[00:22:53] And there’s something we call the pre pre promotion and the post promotion. Pre promotion and the post promotion. Now, what do I mean by that pre promotion is before you go live, you want to tell people that you’re going live. Okay. You want to tell people that you’re going live now, this doesn’t mean that you’re going to have.

[00:23:18] A lot of people show up depending on your audience. Okay. And depending on the time of day that you’re doing your livestream. Okay. And depending on where people are in the world, so that I listening to you, you know, but it helps to increase the views that you’re going to get. Okay. By telling people that.

[00:23:40] Okay, very good. I can see some, uh, lives. Okay. Some, some, um, questions or comments I’m going to get to that, you know? So the, the, the idea is when you tell people that you’re going to go live, they will make, you know, they would make time available or they will plan to join you. Okay. They will plan to join.

[00:24:02] You live. Some of you are here because you got the post, I mean, pre promotion. Okay. That this is what I’m going to be talking about. And as a matter of fact, I go live every single Tuesday. I do this because I want to help you. Okay. If I never go live, I continue to have my clients, you know, and I have everything that I have set up, you know, and I do ads.

[00:24:27] I do all these things, you know, if I never go live in shot, some of my friends don’t go live. They just say, you know, what’s item. But I like the connection that I have with the people, because I get to connect to the, I get to hear what are some of the questions that you have souls out, whether it’s when I’m doing another live stream or whether it’s, you know, for my paid programs.

[00:24:48] I can fine tune and help my people. Okay. I’ve been, I was saying to the people in my Academy yesterday that I’ve been a part of different programs that I paid so much money and I didn’t get as much and the kind of results that I’m helping them get in the Academy. My basic basic basic program right now is the kind that I paid 2000, 3000 a month to get.

[00:25:13] Okay. You know, so, so it’s, it’s it’s, this is the reason why I do this, because I know that, you know, different people are at different levels and different, different people would, you know, be ready to take different actions. Okay. So when you promote pre promote, people would be able to join you emails, you know, you can send it to people in emails, you can create an event around your, uh, your, your posts.

[00:25:40] Uh, you know, I have a program that I use. For Mac users that you can use to pre pre schedule your livestream. This is even if you don’t have this, I use Ecamm. [00:26:03] Of that. And, but even with. Um, normal with Facebook. If you go to the Facebook producer, you would be able to schedule your posts and tell people I’m going to be going live at this particular time. And this is what I’m going to be talking about. Okay. So people that are interested will come. If they can join you, they go watch the replay.

[00:26:24] Now the post-production the posts. Promotion. Okay. Is now after you’ve gone, you know, you’ve done the live stream. You also want to go out there and share it, share it with other people, you know, share. There are many strategies that you can use, and these are things that, you know, high level, when, you know, if you’re ready for this.

[00:26:46] You can join my Academy or you can even go into my coaching or my consultant, whichever one you decide to take, I have them available for you. Okay. So, so now let’s, let’s go to the questions. Do you have a template or a structure for your livestream video? Absolutely. Absolutely. I do have a livestream structure.

[00:27:07] I have a structure. And if you listened to everyone on my videos, you will see the structure. Is there, you know, you connect to the people you share with them, what you have, you, you, you bring it back. You know, there’s, there’s a concept that says, tell people what you’re going to tell them, tell them and tell them what you told them.

[00:27:24] Okay. So this is exactly the structure that I use for my live streams. Okay. Now for you, um, He talk back. Do you, do you do live stream? Do you do live streaming? I would be glad to, uh, to hear more about that, then what’s the ideal length of an engaging live stream. Trust me. Let me tell you this. Uh, it depends on your audience.

[00:27:47] Okay. It depends on your audience. If your audience is engaging, I have seen live streams that I’ve gone personal live stream like this. Okay. That ended up pop holes that you have for that livestream. I’ve seen live stream that I’ve gone for hours. Four hours. Okay. So how, so you, you do livestreams very good.

[00:28:07] Now, depending on the purpose of your live stream, which you can comment in the, uh, you can put in the comments so I can know, you know, what would, what would be ideal is to try different things. Okay. Try different things. What I have discovered is if I go, you know, there was a time that I used to do my live streams really short.

[00:28:26] Okay. Really short, uh, 10 minutes or 15 minutes. I discovered that by the time there’s no way I can interact with the people. Cause you know, I, by the time that I’m finishing my message is when dad, you know, writing something and it takes time, you know, for people to go back and there’s a delay, you know, what’s, what’s that word called?

[00:28:48] Um, I forgot the name. You know, there’s a delay between, you know, when I talk and the time you get it, and then the time I get your response back, I discovered that 15 minutes was too short. So I increased it to three 30 minutes. Okay. Now let me keep an eye on the time. Um, you know, so, so that’s why I try to, uh, go live for about 30 minutes.

[00:29:09] Okay. Now again, it depends your on your audience. Like I said, I’ve seen four hour live streams before, you know, and, and for this, for our livestream, this is for, this was for, um, uh, uh, some people that sell products. Okay. And you want to stay there with people, people are going and coming. It’s not like you’re sharing a message, but if you’re shaping a message.

[00:29:33] I think 30 minutes is, is ideal. Okay. Because, because of the fact that you, you want to be mindful of the people that are going to be watching the replay, because they don’t have that interaction with you when you’re watching the replay is too long. This is one of the reasons why I don’t do mine so long.

[00:29:51] Now, if you want a longer one, we do that in my Academy. We do that. I do one-on-one with my clients and all of that, but for live streaming, Just like that. Okay. 1) Buy Your Equipment

First of all, you’ll need to buy or rent your equipment.

What type of equipment will depend on the setup you want and the effect you’re going for. Most entrepreneurs choose between buying or renting their equipment.

If this is your first time doing live video, then I would recommend buying some basic equipment.

However, if you’re a veteran in the live streaming game and your camera setup is more advanced, then you’ll need to hire someone to help you with the technicalities of the equipment.

If you’re looking to buy some equipment here’s what I recommend:

A phone or laptop. This will serve as your screen to do your live.

An iPhone or a decent camera, or even your DSLR camera. You can also use an external webcam for this purpose.

A tripod to hold the camera in place while you stream on your phone via the software I mentioned earlier (Ecamm/OBS etc.).

Good lighting. This will be key to creating a professional environment for your live videos.

I would also recommend a green screen, which you can buy or rent depending on how long you’ll need it for.

If these sound like more advanced equipment then I would highly recommend hiring a professional to help you in this area. The better the camera quality and lighting, the better your stream will look.

2) Hire a Remote-Live Producer

Next, you’ll need to hire a remote live producer. If you have the budget for it, then this will take your videos to the next level.

The main difference between doing things yourself and hiring out is that you have more freedom to share your message while an expert runs the whole tech aspect of your live streaming. This way you avoid having to deal with the technical issue by yourself. You focus on what you do best and allow your producer to do theirs too.

A remote live producer’s job is to locally or remotely take over your production and create flawless live content for you while you shine on camera. They’ll also monitor your comments, questions and feedback.

They’ll also play music during your live videos to keep the audience engaged with you in an appealing way.

Here are some key things to look for when hiring a remote-live producer:

[00:04:12]You can create a brand for yourself, for your business and for your expertise.  So for example,  immediately after this live stream, I have a client engagements that I’m going to be doing a rehearsal because live streaming is another service that I provide for my clients.

[00:04:28]We’re going to be doing the tech rehearsal for an event.  So you have a product that you want to launch. You have an event in your business that you’re trying to carry out. Live streaming is a big game changer that can help you elevate your brand and present you to your clients, whether potential or existing clients, presents you to them as a real person and at the same time it presents your brand to your clients.

[00:04:52]Your brand colors, your logo, you have everything, all of this things you can bring into your livestream. For example, many times I’ll be doing a presentation and a lot of people that follow, what I do know that one of my main brand color is purple.  So for example  you can see that the name tag right there has my brand color.  It has my name. It has all of these things, and you’re able to showcase your brand.

[00:05:16] Some of the times when I’m doing my presentations I would be teaching, I’ll be doing a presentation and other times I would want to just share my screen. And those times I could just do a presentation and show stuff like that and share some of the things that I’m going to be training.

[00:05:32]And you can bring all of these into your presentations. So these are things that you can do  with your streaming, with your brand live streaming. You can bring your brand and people can connect a face to the brand.

[00:05:45] And then another thing is one that I started with, the idea of being able to engage with clients from all around the world. If you have a local business. A lot of people are pivoting right now.

So whether your clients are on Instagram or on Facebook or on YouTube, even LinkedIn now has livestream. You have everybody watching from different parts of the world and they can connect with you.

One other major advantage that a lot of people don’t realize, and I’m going to take time to explain this one. When you have a small business you want to take that business to the next level, some of the times you would be looking for partners. I have some partners that I work with already. Some companies that I work with already and in the next couple of weeks you’re going to be seeing me bringing up all sorts of business brands and partners, companies that I already partner with.

[00:09:20] What live streaming can do for your business. Also all for you is you can get sponsors for your events. My sister Erica was just talking about her events. You can get sponsors for your events. You can do, you can live stream and connect with new and potential business partners and I’m talking companies.

[00:09:43]I have a friend that actually did a presentation like this on her phone, nothing fancy and she got a call from Google to come do a presentation. In short, this lady is the lady that introduced me to livestream. She was like you know what? You have to start doing live streaming.

[00:09:59]Shout out to Jen Kovak. They called her to come do a presentation from Google and Google flew her in. There was another day. She said, you know, she got another call from was it voice of America or, or BBC one of those British stations, why did I say voice of America when I’m thinking British.

[00:10:18]Pardon me. They called her and said can you be in the studio in one hour or something? And she was like one hour. And that was it. That’s how she got the connection to go speak in the radio station. I don’t know whether it was radio or TV.  This is the kind of thing that you can do with live streaming.

[00:10:35]There are companies that are looking for people like you. There are companies that are looking for people that sell products that you sell. There are companies that are looking to partner with you and use you as maybe their brand ambassador or something like that and you will be able to connect with them and showcase their products for them.

[00:10:53]Like I said, In the couple of weeks, you are going to be seeing me promote different companies that I already partner with. Most of the people that I would bring to you would be people that I already, use their products and I already buy their products,  so you will see some of these things that you can actually do for yourself as well.

[00:11:12] Are you convinced or not. Because I want you to know that if you can just start to do live streaming? You would definitely be able to elevate your business to the next level.

[00:11:23] Benefit #6: Reduced Marketing Cost

One of the thing is cost of marketing. If you have a business you already know that cost of marketing is something else.  I was in a client meeting yesterday, and my clients was talking about how facebook marketing and the budgets that they need to have small business just starting out small business, Facebook marketing, $300 per week. Okay. $300 and you’re just starting.

[00:11:51]Imagine being able to slash that in half, imagine being able to slash the $1,200, that’s $1,200 that you would have spent on facebook marketing. Imagine if you can do live streaming to promote  your products as against spending all of the money. You still need to spend on marketing for sure, but if there’s a way to minimize that and actually do more like connecting with your client at the same time while saving money, why not?

[00:12:23]Tips For Starting

I have to say that at the beginning of doing live streaming, there’s a little bit of getting used to. There’s a learning curve.  First of all a lot of times, we’re shy and we’re camera shy and all  those kins of things.

[00:12:36] And I don’t want to put my face on camera, after a while you get over that, because practice makes it easy for you to get a hang of that. And then there’s also the tech set up. There are some things that you need to do. Like you need to have a good mic. Even if you’re starting out, if you have a very good phone, you can use just that phone and you’ll be okay.

[00:12:56] As long as the noise in the background is not too much.  Even if it is just one of those phone, ear pieces that comes with the phone. That is a better mic than just the normal phone, because a lot of people will be listening in their ears.

[00:13:11] So you want to have good quality sound for them.

Gloria says with live streaming, how do one convince and get more clients without a fancy track record to showcase. Very good. Now? The first thing is convincing is a big word.

[00:13:52]You want to solve the problem that the client has. First of all, instead of thinking about it as convincing, what I would suggest that you do is you find out the problem that the client is trying to solve. For example, my mom’s birthday is today.

[00:14:09] And what we wanted was we needed somebody that would bring something really nice to her, and so it doesn’t matter,  as long as you now present yourself as the person that is able to provide that solution, all we have to do is just be able to connect with you like this. Flyers are great.

[00:14:28] But flyers are just that 2D, but when the people are able to connect with you like this, then they feel like they know you. They feel like I think I know this person. It even almost sometimes supersedes referrals.

[00:14:42]Because when somebody feels they’ve been seeing you, they’ve been watching you. You know how when you go out on the streets and you meet the actors, Do you not feel like you know the actors, do you not feel like I’ve connected with the person because I was watching their movie.

[00:14:56]This is the same kind of thing. So you now bring the benefits of your product to them. My product is able to do XYZ for you. My product is able to take away this pain of wondering what you’re going to give your loved one that is having their birthday in Nigeria. So for example, if you have a business that you do in Lagos you can livestream and market to people across the world  to buy it for their family members in Nigeria or in America or wherever it is that your business is at. 

Last Week

[00:15:30] So if you have a small business, all you just have to do is just showcase your businesses,  the fact that you don’t have fancy track records doesn’t mean that you cannot help them.

[00:15:41]These are kind of the things that I do with my  coaching clients in the Academy and all that. But, but I want you to see that the fact that you don’t have fancy track record    we have to, first of all, remove that mindset. In short, I was in a client meeting yesterday and we’re talking exactly the same thing, even though I don’t have a fancy website and I don’t have fancy testimonials on my websites and all of that. If that’s you it’s okay. As long as you have the confidence that your product or your service can solve the problem that this person has.

[00:16:14] You don’t need to have any problem bringing that out and all you just have to do is just bring yourself out on a video like this, and the person begins to see you as the go-to person for them.

[00:16:27]Live streaming makes it easy.

[00:16:28]Now you will fumble and make  a few mistakes at the beginning and that’s fine.

[00:16:33] That’s human. And that even helps  people to feel they know you better because it’s real. It’s not like the organized videos and the really designed videos, they have their own place. However, the livestream has a place of showing; this is who I am. This is what I can do, and I can do so much more.

So, question: are you struggling with not being able to achieve your goals? Are you struggling with not being able to do the things that you really want to do? If you’re at that place and you’re here, I’m super excited to have you welcome again to Q & A Tuesday. My name is  Olu and this is where I tell you everything that has helped me, that has helped my clients to get to the point where you’re able to sell your expertise with ease.

[00:00:37]A lot of times the people that I meet are such unique People, unique geniuses. I call them actually because I believe that if you’re here and you’re watching me live, or if you’re here and you’re watching the replay you’re far ahead of a lot of people in your niche.

[00:00:59] If you’re watching this from YouTube, Hey, Hey, you know, I’m glad to have you here as well. Don’t forget to turn on the notification and subscribe as well.

[00:01:07] Now for the people that I meet, a lot of them are so smart.

[00:01:13]So a lot of the people that I meet are just very smart, but they don’t realize it. And so you begin to look at yourself differently compared to what you’re supposed to look at. And then as a result,  people lose out on the possibilities and the successes.

[00:01:31] Okay. So you’re trying to achieve something. You have a business, or you want to start a business. And you’re wondering, why is this thing not working ? I’ve been there before and I’ve been there many times.

[00:01:44]So. Have you ever been in a position where you’re trying to build a business and that business is proving difficult, really, really difficult?

[00:01:55]You want to advance in this area. You’re not able to, it looks like the roads just keep blocking for you. Now pay attention to what I have to share today, because a lot of times we assume that it’s because things are difficult, but the real truth is that things are actually not difficult. It’s because of the fact that there are some missing ingredients that you’ve not added to the puzzle. That’s why it’s not working.

[00:02:27]So I’ve been in many situations where I advance. I try to do something and it looks like it’s not possible is shot. I advanced and I try and it’s like, no, nothing is happening. Now I want to mention the fact that you need time that needs to be put into anything that we’re doing.

[00:02:47] You can’t expect to plant today and harvest tomorrow. However, that being said, there is an element of believe that must be present. In order for you to actually be able to get the result that you’re looking for. 

[00:03:05]We have a desire. You have a desire for your business. You have a desire for your projects that you’re doing. And that desire is what pushes you to go out there and do a lot of the things that you do. And like I said, many of you here with me,  are way higher and more advanced compared to many people, but because of the fact that you don’t think about it that way, you’re going to still find some limitations standing in your way. And today, what I want to eliminate is that system that allows limitation to stay in front of you that will not allow you to advance.

[00:03:45]If there’s any limitation that stands before you physically, it actually is standing before you in your mind first, before it appears physically.

[00:03:57]Before anything hinders you from achieving what you want to achieve, there’s already a limitation here that needs to be dealt with first. Okay. Now I’m going to, share some examples with you.

[00:04:13] What’s the biggest mistake that you’ve ever made in your life? The biggest failures, the biggest errors, the biggest challenges that you found yourself in?

[00:04:22] Now, did you know that this limit, this mistakes have a way of staying in your mind all day long. And as a result, this mistakes create limitations for the success that is ahead of you.

[00:04:48]Now it’s extremely important that you pay attention to this.

[00:04:51]Think about your internal dialogue. What are you thinking about ? Are you always thinking about the past or are you thinking about the future? Check your mind, in your own daily activities also, are you always thinking about the past, or are you thinking about the future?

[00:05:12] Now? The people that think about the past will always be tied to the past and the mistakes that happened in the past will always show up in the mindset.  And that’s why the very first point that I wanted you  to master and to do today is  to pay attention to the internal dialogue that is going on in your mind.

[00:05:37]This dialogue is going to continue to bring limitations your way. It’s going to continue to bring you all sorts of limitations. When it’s time to advance, you will start to see that your mind is thinking about the past.

[00:05:52] For example, I didn’t do well in the university. I didn’t do well at all in the university. in Nigeria,  there’s an exam that you write, When I was going to go to the university and when I wrote that exam, I did very well. When I wrote my JAMB I did very well, but in my mind, I was traveling abroad to study. And when I entered into the university, I entered with a mind of I’m just the whiling away time here.

[00:06:22] I’m going to soon travel. But somehow that didn’t turn out. However, I was locked into what I wanted, that I couldn’t focus on what I was doing in the university. First-year of the university. I didn’t do well.  I was a science student.  And I didn’t do well at all to the point where I was rescued from the science class.

[00:06:48] And I was offered accounting. And so it was more like, you know, you don’t have a choice, so here you go. I entered into the accounting department and I still kept my hopes. Okay one day, I’m going to be able to get an admission internationally and I’m going to travel abroad and I’m going to leave all of these you know, what am I even doing here?

[00:07:12] Now? This wasn’t clear to me. I wasn’t thinking like this. This is thinking back that made me to realize all of this because while I was going through it, I didn’t think I was doing that. However, I went through accounting and in short, I would be in class and I’ll be like, what are they even talking about?

[00:07:30] This things don’t make sense. There were a couple, a couple of the courses that I liked personally. And I think I’ve shared it here before, you know, that I’m that kind of a person I don’t like to read.  I feel like,  () I don’t want my children to hearthis school sometimes is a waste of time.

[00:07:48]So I feel like some of the things that they are sharing with you, I don’t need this. Why are you teaching me this now? This is not to say that school is a waste of time. However, this was the way I used to feel, because sometimes I’m just bored in the class and I’m like, why are you telling me all this?

[00:08:03] I don’t need this. I know what I want to do mindsets. So I was in the university and I studied accounting and I struggled. I’m not proud to say this. I finished university , it was just like, just let her go. That was the kind of results that I go from the university.

[00:08:21] I’m not proud of this at all. And I wish I knew then what I know now, I wish I knew then that I could settle down and actually make the most of the life that I had and stop looking for the future, you know, the perfect future.

[00:08:40] Now back to the question of, are you always thinking about the past, or are you thinking about the future?

[00:08:47] I noticed that because of the fact that  I didn’t have the best of the results from the university over time,  I discovered that my brain it was always going back to: I wish I had a better result from the university,   assuming I had this best result, I would be succeeding, I would be able to achieve all these one, two, three, four, five things.

[00:09:12]My mind was always going back there. I want to tell you something that if you don’t keep track on what’s going on in your mind,  the failures of the past will limit what you’re able to do in the future.

[00:09:27] I don’t know what the mistake that you made in the past is , but I want you to know that the past is the past and there is so much that is ahead of you. For example, you have a dream to have a business. You have a dream to have a life that is beautiful and are already on track for that. Now, if you’re you’re watching this, I know without a doubt that you’ve invested so much to be where you are today. That means that you are ahead of so many others that have dreams and they are not doing anything about it.

[00:10:06] Many of the people that I work with, many of the people that I talk to are doing some phenomenal things, but they just don’t see it as phenominal because they are still not able to achieve that one thing. They are not able to see themselves as successful. And in other for you to be able to hit success, you need to, first of all, see yourself internally as a success.

[00:10:33] And this is why I want to implore you and, if I can just hold you by the hand and I want to call you by names and say, I believe that there’s so much that you have for this world. I believe that you’re a genius.

[00:10:49] I didn’t believe that, until I began to tell myself that look, you are a genius.

[00:10:57] You are a genius. Now genius is not, we have different kind of geniuses. Some people are really, really super, super genius, you know? And when I hang out with people that are super genius, I bow. Okay. You know, because you know, there are so many, there are some people that are just so,  great at the way they speak the way they,  calculate mathematics, the way they do engineering, the way they do some of these really serious things. Okay. They are geniuses.

[00:11:25] However, I tell you what you are a genius. You just don’t know it yet. You  don’t  know  which part of you is that genius,  what part of you is.  Now doesn’t mean that you’re the best in the world. You don’t need to be to be a genius.

[00:11:41]My own definition of being a genius is you’re able to do something so well more than a lot of people. Now, the problem that we have is a lot of times we don’t identify what that thing is. And so many of the times, because of the failures of the past, we start to look at other people, we start to compare ourselves with other people, and then you start to, shrink in your own instead of developing your own you join with the crowd You know, because everybody says, this is the best way to go. So you join with the crowd and you begin to go in that direction. But I want to encourage, I want to implore you that please pay attention to your internal dialogue. What’s going on in your mind, pay close attention to it. Okay. And when you begin to pay close attention to it, you start to notice that the, the mistake that you made 20 years ago is still plaguing you today.

[00:12:39] The mistake that you made 20 years, five years ago. 10 years ago is still affecting what you do today. And we have to make sure that we remove that because you see if you’re going to be able to to succeed in your project of having your business,  go around the world. And that’s another thing go around the world.

[00:13:00] A lot of people don’t believe it. A lot of people would, see a limitation.  Maybe you’re even one of them that you, you want to do something and you look at it that, Oh, it’s not possible. It’s not possible because I’m in, you know, a third world country or, or because I don’t have this type of computer or because I don’t, you know, excuses, excuses, But it’s not your fault because you know, the mind works. It’s like an auto program. Okay. The way the mind works, but that’s why you have to pay attention to your internal dialogue, where you pay attention to it. You’re able to, you know, begin to see the difference.

[00:13:42]The next point is you need to kill the negative thoughts and keep the positive.

[00:13:48]When I began to pay attention to my thoughts what I discovered was that. I didn’t realize that my failure in the university was still limiting my activities today. I didn’t do well in the university and so many other mistakes that I’ve made in life. Right. You know, I didn’t realize that they were already limiting me sometimes.

[00:14:13]A lot of times, the way shows up for me is tech. Okay. In my business or in something else that I’m doing.  There’s something online that I need to do or there’s something in the technology, there’s it programmed that I need to use to do my business. Okay. And I’ll look at it and I’ll be like, Oh no, this thing is too. Okay. I can’t do it. Who says? The negative mindset that is still holding onto the hold things that happened in the past.

[00:14:42]If there are some things that happened in the past that you’re still holding onto, please let me tell you this. It’s going to keep you small. And I don’t want it to be because you were made huge, you were made great.

[00:14:57] You were created. Great. So it’s important that you begin to identify the negatives that are there, and then identify the positive and make up your mind that I’m going to kill the negative and keep the positive. Keep the positive thoughts all the time.

[00:15:16]In my Academy, many times I would say, go and do this.

[00:15:19] And then I get re response, from people that would say, it’s not possible, it’s not working. Trust me, pay attention to that. There’s a reason why it’s not working. There’s a reason there’s a negative mindset. There’s something in the mind that is allowing that is not allowing you to process the things that is before you you’re shutting it down because of the experience that you’ve had in the past.

[00:15:45]A lot of times I will call my husband and I will say, Oh, come and help me do this. This thing is not working. This is not working. And then he would just go there and he would press the apart. And he was good. and it’s working. Why did he work? How come it worked for him?

[00:15:59] And he didn’t work for me because of the internal dialogue.  And I made up my mind, trust me,Olu you better wake up. You better wake up because the person that God made is different from the person that I’m seeing right now. And I want to say to you as well, I’m looking down because that’s where my comments are.

[00:16:16]I want to say to you, you’re a genius. I want you to please actually type it in the comments. If you believe it. Even if you don’t believe it, type it in the comments, say I am a genius type it in the comments. The only difference between the geniuses that we see that have made it, and I’ve made it big is because they didn’t keep quiet about theirs

[00:16:39] they didn’t keep quiet. They didn’t stop. They didn’t, hide away.  And see,  I listened to a video of this past week. This video,  this man was physically challenged and somebody said to him, you should be a beggar. Can you imagine that? Can you imagine somebody telling another  to be a beggar?

[00:17:01]It’s just unheard of, I was almost going to say it’s stupid. Let me not, let me not get too angry here,

[00:17:08] If you’re not,operating as a genius yet is not because of the fact that you’re not a genius is because  you’ve not seen your micro, micro niche.

[00:17:17]You ‘ve seen that video to it annoying. It’s really bad, but you see the thing is no matter what, whether it is people that called us stupid or it’s people that are labeled you as an idiot, it doesn’t matter. What matters is what you do with the information because when somebody says something negative to you, it stays in your brain.

[00:17:41] And you begin to remember that, and that can keep you limited for life. Okay. But this man in the video was saying, look at me now, look at me now the same university that the professor told him that he should be a beggar. He came back there and was speaking. Okay.

[00:17:57]All those negative things that people have said to you in the past, they will keep you limited. If you don’t identify them and kill them. And keep only the positive andbegin to say good things about yourself. Begin to say to yourself that I’m a genius. I want you to look at yourself in the mirror every day and say, you know what?

[00:18:15] This is God’s creation. And this is a success waiting to happen. Look at me, dress up and shine. This is the way to do it. You look at yourself and you say, you know what? This is success waiting to happen in short, already happening. And you bring your swag into it.

[00:18:31] Why? Because you need to tell yourself, you need to kill that negative. If you don’t bring life, death will kill life. Okay. If you know that you can be starved of life, when there are no good words that have been spoken into your life, but you can’t wait. Okay. I believe in each one of you that is watching this, I believe in you, I believe that God has created you beautiful.

[00:18:58]There’s nobody that I have personally worked with. Okay. There’s nobody in shot. There’s nobody that I have met that I don’t get fascinated by the way they think, by the way, they, they do their things, by the way, big personalities. Everybody is unique.

[00:19:14] So you must know that and identify the fact that I am a success. I am a genius. Okay.

[00:19:21] Now the last point that is now the one that is going to empower you to do all the things. Okay. Because see, the habit of thinking negative is one thing that a lot of people have, and they don’t know.

[00:19:35] A lot of excuses would show up. For example, I don’t have enough time to do something. Okay. You we were just talking about geniuses.  Sometimes I ask myself people that are shining and are doing some really fantastic things in this world that we see.  Look around, you’ll see some fantastic people. You know one thing that they have in their system? No room for excuse, nor room for excuse. Now, this is one thing that I am working on myself, and I want you to join me on that journey. And I want you to say every single time you think I don’t have time,  you’ve already taken it into consideration that this is the journey that I want to go on. Okay. You’ve already started your business. You’ve already started your journey. You’ve already started the process of going there. Any excuse that comes up, that you begin to say, I don’t have time.

[00:20:29] Okay. You know what? I don’t have time for any, I don’t feel like there’s that. Trust me. There are only 24 hours in a day for every single person. Now, some people in their own one hour  they make $1 in an hour. They have one head, they have two eyes, some maybe not even two eyes. Okay.

[00:20:52]Some other people in one hour they make $50,000 in one hour. $50,000. I was just reading a story this morning. Okay. And this man said he was struggling to make $10 an hour, he began to work on himself, develop himself. Now, you know what? $50,000 an hour. Now think about it this man does he have two heads? No! That’s the question I asked myself this morning, this man doesn’t have two heads. Now, it’s not just about the money, but we need the money right?  There are so many of those things that you believe you want to live your life to do that needs money. And so if excuses will keep you locked up, you better turn those excuses into actions.

[00:21:45]As soon as an excuse comes up:  I’m not feeling too well today. Trust me. It is an excuse. I have tested it in a lot of times. I will wake up in the morning and I feel like, no, I don’t feel like it today.  As soon as you tell yourself, you don’t feel like it, your body begins to work towards that.

[00:22:05] And you would actually not feel like it, but as soon as you tell yourself no, no, I feel like it, I feel like it’s a good day, you just realize that from nowhere strength comes. There are times that you actually have health challenges that are real.

[00:22:20] Okay. And I’m not talking about those ones. But I’m talking about the mind, the mind sometimes wakes up. You’re like, you know what? Today’s not that day, please. It’s an excuse. That’s the day you do the opposite and you turn that excuse into action. What can I do?

[00:22:37]You’re trying to do technology like me, but as soon as you are trying to do it, you’re like it’s too challenging. That is another excuse joining up. You know what that excuse is saying?  You’re not smart enough for this.  You suddenly forget that God that made you said you were a genius.

[00:22:51]And then if you agree, you will not be able to do it. But what you tell yourself is what can I do to counter this? This excuse that is showing up.

[00:23:02] Many of those excuses, as we begin to pay attention to them, you will see that they are attached to that failure that you had in the past.

[00:23:09] And we want to let go of that. Okay.

So today we’re going to be talking about something that really affected me a lot for many years. For many years I had too many ideas. In shots, I used to see myself as the idea bank. So many ideas and all of these ideas are great.

[00:00:17]So when you you’re going around and you see one idea, it’s like, wow, I could do a business on that. And then you’re going, and you see another idea. We could improve that, or we could improve this, you know, and this is one big problem that I had for many years. And I would say actually that I would say maybe the last three, four years is where I’m actually now getting to the point where I’m at right now that I’m able to, you know, talk with clarity what exactly I do.

[00:00:52] And so if you’re here or you’re watching this and you have so many ideas and to the point where maybe some of the family members, some of the people that know you are even tired. Okay. This is exactly how I was. People were tired of me sharing another and then another, and yet another idea with them, you know, but.

[00:01:14] The  thing is you have to get to a point where you realize that there is a way out of this. So what do you actually do when you have  too many ideas.  If you’re meeting me for the first time, my name is Olu. Sobanjo, and I’m really glad that I’m able to connect with you.

[00:02:17] So right now you’re a business person or maybe  you have an employment and you’re looking at how can I add some more income to what I have going on, or maybe you are the place where you, you have so many things that you love to do. Okay.

[00:02:36] Now, and a lot of the people that I meet would come with three, four, five ideas that they are already Walking on and they say, this is what I do. I have a business counselor and this therapies and I also sell this. Okay. Now it’s a good thing. Okay. Because you know, some people, some of us are designed like that, that you just have great ideas, and everywhere you look, you see different ideas, you see different things that you can do.

[00:03:08] However, it’s extremely important that we begin to look at how can we get the best out of what we’ve been given? How can we get the most of our lives? Okay. So for example, like I said, when I started, I used to have a lot of ideas and I still even, I wouldn’t say that I have stopped having ideas.

[00:03:30] I still have lots and lots of ideas. However, I’ve discovered that in order to  achieve great success at any one idea, you need to put in a lot of energy, you need to put in a lot of efforts. Okay. However, because of the fact that some ideas are not going to bring the same kind of result, it’s better for you to prioritize and structure your mind and the way you’re thinking in a way that will give you the most of the results.

[00:04:02]So I have three ideas, and all of these ideas are great. Okay. What do I do? Okay. Now, before I begin to talk about what you do, I want to emphasize the fact that focusing on one idea has a huge return on your time and efforts. Okay. Focusing, putting all your focus on one idea and putting all the skills and the gifts and the energy  and whatever it is that you have put in it, all your resources in one idea and focus in on it to build that will give you far greater results than spreading all, your energy in different waves.

[00:04:51]The reason why I I’m doing this today is I have discovered that over the last couple of years, you know, I would actually say that this may not apply to you, but the way I used to think about ideas  was that I have fantastic ideas and so, or I can do so many things.

[00:05:14]And so I began to think that, you know, I can do all these things. But, you know, there’s a statement that says  Jack of all trades master of none. Okay. Now that is true to some extent, and I’d like you to listen and hear me out.

[00:05:32] Okay. If you have three ideas and you go into a place, the first thing that is going to happen is when you enter into a group of people that don’t know anything about you but they want to meet with you. What would happen is you have three ideas. How do you determine which one you’re going to share?

[00:05:53] Okay. Now what now happens is you start getting pulled on different angles. You know, you think, Oh, if I share this with this person, maybe it’s going to get me this kind of result. Oh, maybe actually, when I meet that other person, I’ll share this other idea.

[00:06:08] But you see what this does is it’s taking so much of your time and your energy that would have been used to develop one big idea and make it really shiny and great. Okay. So clearly it’s extremely important that you find a way to focus on one idea. Now, it doesn’t mean that all of the other great ideas, you’re not going to do anything about them in shot, the way I suggest that people do this is you write out all of those ideas, all of those great ideas, write them all out because you see if you don’t, if you don’t write them out, they will continue to be distractions in your mind. And if you want to go this way, you feel like what? I have this one idea. I have this idea.

[00:06:57] So now,  after we’ve clarified we need to focus. What do we do? Now we have to also note this, that a lot of us, we live our lives based on other people’s ideas. Most of the times, most people that I know, most people that I meet,  and for me personally,  the way it is is you don’t go around saying, Oh, what do you want me to do?

[00:07:23] And then you do it. No, but we look at ourselves based on what other people especially the people that are very important in our life. Okay. Maybe they’ve not said anything to you that, Oh, you can do this or this, but to some extent, because of the fact that maybe when you shared your idea, at first they doubted, you know, it looked as if, you know, you can’t know whether somebody is doubting, right.

[00:07:46] They looked as if they are doubting you. So because of that, a lot of people will shrink on their ideas. And then now they’re not able to plug in and put all their energy and all of their resources into pursuing this ideas. The reason is because you’re thinking if I don’t do this idea, my dad may be angry if I don’t do this, or the idea of somebody else in my in my life may not be happy with me. Okay. Or maybe somebody said that doesn’t bring money, you know, or that doesn’t bring any results.

[00:08:19] Okay. So because of the doubts that we’ve got from the environment, what would usually happens is you now take that idea instead of running with it full steam. Okay. You actually begin to Doubt yourself. And you’re like, yeah, that’s what I’m doing. But I also do this also, I do that, you know, and then somebody asked you, but I thought you, you said you were doing this.

[00:08:44] And then you’re like, yeah, but I also started doing this because you’re thinking, what exactly is it that they want? What do they want? Okay. Now this is not supposed to be the case. However, it is the case. This is the challenge that we have. And this is one of the reasons why I, I meet many great people that are not yet standing out there as great people.

[00:09:06] Why? Because they are afraid, they’re just afraid that, maybe it’s not going to work  or something like that. I would share some ideas with  that I want you to pay attention to when you want to know, what do I do when you have to so many ideas.

[00:09:21] The first one is you ask yourself, What is it that I really want? What is it that I really want now? How do you do this one? This one is when you look at yourself, there is one idea that is always, always, always coming back to you, always coming back to you.

[00:09:41] Okay. This idea, you know, maybe you get a job and you’re doing that job. You’re there for like three months, six months, you know, and you’ll feel like you’re excited about that job, but then after a while  deep down, you’re like this idea again, this idea again. Okay.  I have this idea  and if this idea does not just leave your mind. Every time you’re trying to focus on something else, this one idea, not like various ideas. And the way this works is even when you’re not working, when you’re anywhere you are, you always see yourself going back to this idea. You always always find yourself going back to this idea.

[00:10:24] Now, this idea. You need to tell yourself that this idea I’m not going to let it go. Even though right now, I don’t see where it fits into what I do. This is my job. This is the idea. It doesn’t really fit in. However, I wouldn’t be very happy if I don’t ever do this idea.

[00:10:47] If you’re at this place right now, and , maybe you have three ideas. Okay. You have 30 ideas, you’re a financial planner, you’re a coach and you’re also, you also sell this other products. Okay. Now what we want is  which of them are you the most passionate about the kind that you will. Not be happy when, when you get to the end of your life and you look back and you’re like, you know what? I’m really happy that I’ve done XYZ. You want that idea to be part of those things that you are very sure you did

[00:11:25] You want to have that idea that you would never, ever, ever, want to leave this world without accomplishing. That’s one thing that you want to do. Now for me over the years, what happened was that there was a time I said I wanted to have a fashion production line. Like I want to be creating fashion wears and all that. And because of the fact that I’m a computer kind of person, I married a  computers genius when it comes to like websites and all these things.

[00:11:52] And so he got me on board into all of those things. And so I learned how to design websites and I learned how to do all these things. And so what I did, I started a business, that I started making outfits for people. Okay. And  backstory. I actually bought a sewing machine and I started sewing myself.

[00:12:10]But then when I started doing the sewing, I enjoyed doing the sewing however, I soon realized that this wasn’t it for me. This wasn’t easy for me. it’s great to have, you know, and I was still like to have a sewing machine and I feel like to make some things and all that, but it’s not the ‘it’ for me.

[00:12:29] And so I realized that even though I wanted to help people, and I wanted to make people look good, feel good and all that. I wasn’t like creating a business, around outfits, you know? So I pulled back from there. And the reason why I’m saying that is. Even  when you have those three ideas or whatever it is, it’s good to put your feet into it.

[00:12:52] Just try it out a little bit. Okay. Try it out a little bit. And you may realize that maybe this is it, this isn’t it for me. Okay. And then what that should do for you is to empower you to say bye to that idea. Let it go for life and let it rest in peace.

[00:13:11] Okay. Because what would happen is if you don’t say goodbye to that idea, it will continue to pull you. Okay. It will continue to pull you to the point where the one that you really need to focus your energy on you’re not gonna have the energy. You’re not going to have the zeal and the time and the brain space to work on it.

[00:13:31]So that’s one thing that you need to pay attention to. Okay. So first of all, what do you do when you have too many ideas?  The very first thing is check.  What is that idea that you are passionate about? The kind that you won’t want to leave this world without accomplishing.

[00:13:49] Okay, make sure then you weed out all of those sewing machine kind of ideas like mine, right. You weed them out and then you, when you weed them out, you believe strongly. Okay.

[00:14:01] The number two points that I have is on that idea that you have

[00:14:06] what’s the biggest possible thing, what’s possible for you to do on this idea? Okay. Now a lot of times when when we pick an idea, I’m passionate about this. Okay. A lot of times it’s, I want to, change the world. I want to just make a difference in my world with this idea.

[00:14:26] Okay. But then. The next level to that is you still need to look at what is possible for you on that idea. Okay.  And how do you get that? Look around you, look around and see what are some of the things that people are doing. Okay. Now the idea is if you’re the kind of person that I know you are, which is,  somebody that is created really smart and really great,  and.

[00:14:55] I’m a pastor. Okay. So if you’re not a Christian here and you’re watching this, let me explain  where I’m going with this. I personally believe that God designed each one of us and when he designed us, he made each one of us in his own image. With his own kind of creativity and mindset,

[00:15:14]And so I believe that when you look at your idea, the great idea, whether it’s a business idea or an impact idea of some sorts, , the kind that you’re able to make a difference in your world with. It’s extremely important that you look at it with the mindset of what is possible in this arena.

[00:15:36]How is this going to affect people that are around you? How is it going to change people? What’s possible business. What kind of income, who are the kinds of people that do it now? Okay. Now I find that a lot of times when when you look at your ideas, you start to look at it and you say, you know what?

[00:15:55] I just like writing poems, I don’t think it’s going to bring anything. That’s what you think.  This is why it’s extremely important that you spend time in this research phase where you start to look at what exactly is possible, because you never know.

[00:16:13]Until you get exposed to another world and you’re like, what I’ve been doing all that for free. I’ve been doing all that all this while and I didn’t know it was worth thousands or millions of dollars.

[00:16:26] Right, you don’t realize, or even just sometimes I’ll meet my clients when I’m working with them, your clients they’ll share a story okay. With me and that story that story alone can transform a city and they didn’t realize it.

[00:16:42]I have been there many times.

[00:16:45]Until you enter into the arena of seeing what is possible with what you have, what you think is so little is actually something really tangible for other people that  would benefit the world. When it gets into even the business world, now that people will be paying you thousands of dollars for but you didn’t know you, you didn’t value it as such.

[00:17:13]So it’s extremely important that you value what you have. Okay. Like for example, I think he was in the comments last week. Somebody mentioned three things that did do okay. You know, I can’t remember what they were. I sell this, I coach this and I want to start this. Okay.

[00:17:34]a lot of the times we look at all those ideas and you’re not ready to to push through. But the ones that are succeeding actually are the ones that choose to go dead on and they say, I’m not going to go back.

[00:17:51] I’m not going to drop this idea. I’m going to stick to it until. I start to see a huge massive results from this idea. So I want to encourage you please. Okay. First of all, Find out what’s that thing are you really passionate about? And I’ll be very glad to hang out with you and talk about this.

[00:18:11]The next thing is what is possible? What is possible?

[00:18:14]Now, if you believe in that idea, what usually would happen is you’re not, you don’t care what people think. You’re just going to keep going.  And I want to encourage you that you take your idea like that. Okay.

[00:18:27] What do you do when you have too many ideas?

[00:18:29] The last point is take imperfect actions. At the stage that you’re at that it doesn’t matter where you are right now. Because we’re all at different levels. Okay. Some people you’re doing business, other people, you’re not doing business other people you want to do business.

[00:18:45] Other people, you want to just make a difference in your world. Okay. Wherever it is that you’re at, you take imperfect, you tell yourself, you make up your mind and you say I’m going to take imperfect actions. Okay. Because after you’ve now fine tune your idea, that’s one thing that limits a lot of people because.

[00:19:04] We’re looking for “it has to really, really shiny” “has to really, really be like the best of the ideas” it has to be so fancy” now fancy is great. However, if you use up all the energy at the beginning and you don’t have steam to continue, what would happen is a lot of people give up along the way.

[00:19:25]So you keep taking imperfect action. And the more you take imperfect actions you begin to get clarity.

[00:19:32]So I would really love to hear from you. I would really love to know. How is it for you? Do you have an idea or do you feel like, you really want to have an idea of what to focus on, and you have this challenge of “Ooh, what if it doesn’t work” or whatever it is it’s blocking you.

[00:20:27]Remember this, there are people out there that need what you have. There are many people out there that if only they can connect with you and trust me, many of these ideas would not only allow you to improve the life of another person, but many of them would bring in lots and lots of money.

[00:20:49] Okay. It’s not all about the money. Okay. However, you know,  I always say that if you’re going to do something, there must be a way  to fund the idea. Right. You know, so money, why not? And you’ll be shocked that there are people, some of the things that you do now for free, they have people that are doing many of that and are, and they are getting a lot of results from it.

[00:21:13] It is only yesterday that I was telling that to myself my store website can’t be perfect before I decide to launch. Woo. Woo. I’m so happy Lena I’m so, so happy. No, no, you don’t wait for it to be perfect. Don’t wait for it to be perfect. Go for it. See, the thing is I just started a new Academy right now and  Lena is actually part of my Academy, you know, and, and this idea is  not perfect. It’s not even complete yet. However, it’s out. Why? Because you get to people to help you to fine tune it.  Imperfect actions make things clearer. In this video, we’re going to be talking about how to get the most out of your social media time especially if you’re trying to connect with prospects and clients and all of those people.  This is the video for you.

[00:00:15]For those of you that are meeting me for the very first time, my name is Olu Sobanjo and I’m the video strategist and your business coach. I help you launch and grow your businesses. To start to share your expertise with the world, because trust me, if you already have some fantastic ideas  that you can share with people, let’s turn them into money and let’s make them bring a lot of impact,  to people around you, making the world a better place. Right?

[00:00:45]I meet a lot of people that they want to connect with your clients, and maybe you want to connect with your clients and prospects and followers.  People that wants to connect with you and actually get results from what you know, you’re doing online.

[00:01:00] But a lot of times people are afraid.

[00:01:03] You want to connect with people that are ready to buy your products, ready to connect with you, to listen to the message that you have for them.  So you’re passionate about helping people.

[00:01:15] However, From experience, you know how you can spend hours and hours and hours on Facebook, hours and hours on Instagram. Somebody was saying to me  last week that you know what I had to delete my Instagram accounts. Now it’s, it’s easy if that’s not where you do your business, but what happens if you know, you really need to stay on Instagram to be able to connect with people that want to buy what you have. Right. Or,  even today, today that there’s so much going on in the world, that all the offices I’ve been put online  way before the pandemic. I used to talk about the fact that my office was Facebook.

[00:02:00]So how do you manage living on Facebook and not getting distracted? How do you get the most done? How do you get the most out of your time that you’re spending on Facebook or any social media platform that you use? For your business, especially when you’re new.

[00:02:20]When you’ve been in the business for a bit, and you know, the rules of the game, you don’t need to spend so much time. But  if you’re there and you’re actually new and you’re still trying to figure out what’s the best way to maximize my time and not, spend five hours, you’re just scrolling and three hours just passed like that.

[00:02:41]Because you see a 30 minutes video, right now you’re hanging out with me and then another post is going to come and then another post but we want to make sure that you’re getting the most out of your time on Facebook or any platform

[00:02:54]I’m going to give you some step-by-step things that you need to do in order for you to maximize this time that you’re spending online.

[00:03:02] The number one point is you need to evaluate where you are. Now what do I mean by evaluate where you are?

[00:03:09]We all on a journey. You’re on a journey.  Maybe you’re even at the point where all that you use social media for has always been that; social. Okay. Not business, .

[00:03:22] Now, if you go into social media thinking, it’s just a platform that I use to entertain myself.

[00:03:29] I want you to think about it a little differently because it’s not just an entertainment platform. Yes, you will find different videos. You will find different entertainments that you’re going to connect with.

[00:03:41]I have to confess to you that there was a time in my life that I told my husband and I said, my phone is becoming too much of a pain, that it’s like a door to the whole world. I wish I recorded some of these things that happened to me in the past, you know, so I can write them down. And so I can say them exactly how it was.

[00:04:03] At that time, it was so hard for me to keep up with what was going on on social media, especially WhatsApp. Because the notification comes in like that , especially when you’re a part of different groups. At the time, I was overwhelmed with so many responsibilities and I was  just, like not another thing.

[00:04:24] So it’s extremely important that you note where you are. Okay. Even if you’re overwhelmed with a lot of information and especially now with all this that is going on right now, sometimes the news can be  overwhelming. Like, what is this?

[00:04:39] Can this just stop. Okay.  Part of the things that you’re going to need to do is to check how do I arrange things in a way that it doesn’t overpower me and I can still manage with it because for example, if you have young children, if you have other responsibilities, I’m a pastor. I’m a full-time pastor and I have responsibilities at church. I have responsibilities with my children, you know, when I was talking about my children were very little and I had all sorts of things.

[00:05:11] I had my business to run and all of that. Now? What I believe is that you can maximize what time you have and still get the most  out of your time online especially when we get to the point number three.

[00:05:27] Okay. That I’m going to be talking about, but before we go to point number three, We have to get to point number two, right. Point number two that I have for you is you need to schedule your time on social media, because if you don’t schedule your time on social media, usually what would happen is you can spend hours on social media without any results.

[00:05:52]So, if what you’re looking for is to be able to attract people that wants to buy from you or people that are ready to follow you on a transformational journey that you’re taking them on, it’s extremely important that you know how long it’s going to take you. Okay. Put it in your schedule.

[00:06:13] Now you don’t just do it when you feel like it. For example, one of the things that I do every week is I come live like this on my social media platforms and I share with you.

[00:06:26]And when you schedule it, what happens is the people that you’re connecting with you, my friends online, I’m able to connect with you at a particular time of the day. At a particular time of the week.  So you schedule it now. This is now me scheduling the time that I do my videos, you’re going to do exactly that.  Where people know when to find you online. However,  it’s not just about doing video. There’s also the connection with the people. Okay. Which is the next point.

[00:06:58]Now, the third point that I have for you is you also now need to map out a strategy for yourself, for your cause or your movement for your business, for what you’re doing, where you’re able to connect with people.

[00:07:15] You’re able to connect with people, not just scrolling to see what’s going on on social media. Remember your aim is to connect with people. Can you tell me what you’re selling or, or what you’re sharing?

[00:07:28] What’s your message about. Write it in the comment. Now, the reason why I’m asking you to write that in the comments is you don’t know, somebody may be scrolling. Somebody might be maybe watching live right now that need what you have. Okay. So write it in the comments. What is the service that you provide for people?

[00:07:47]Messaging is extremely important. And, and you see, when it comes to messaging, messaging is something that I do with my clients for a big period of our work together, because your message is what’s going to cut down on the timing that you invest online.

[00:08:06]If you don’t work on your message, what would happen is you’d need to talk a lot. You need to spend a lot more time online. And I know very well that many of you out there are extremely busy people. You have all these other responsibilities and you’re looking for, how can I maximize, maximize the little time that I have for reaching and connecting with more people, clients followers, audience members online, you want to cut down on that and you want to be able to connect with people easily, not spending the whole day, trying to connect with people.

[00:08:42] And just say something small and people are ready to connect with you. Now, this is something that I do with my clients. And I would want you to work on doing your messaging. And one of the reasons why I asked you to write it out there is I want you to be able to start practicing using your message, and then when bring it out there and people.

[00:09:04] Connect with it, then it means the messages is getting sharper okay. If people don’t connect with it, it means that your message still needs to be reworked. Okay. Obviously you need to say it in different places especially where your people are.  I see Imabong said counseling.

[00:09:22] They are abused and battered people. Very good counseling. So you give counseling. So if anybody is watching and they are battered or abused, okay.  It’s getting there but you can still go a little farther

[00:09:35] it’s extremely important that the person is able to feel like. Oh, I need to talk to this person. What would they identify in themselves that will make them feel like, you know what? I really need to talk to this person. So I have another one there says I teach and mentor children academically online age: two to 16.  That’s from nursery to secondary school. Very good. Okay. So you teach and mentor children academically online. Now that is good, but what I would want you to even refine it. Okay. So, so you have to paint the picture of… you know, think of the person that I scrolling down their feed and they look at it and they’re like, Oh, okay.

[00:10:18] Why do I really need this? Okay. My children already go to school  always think of your ideal client or ideal customer, the person that is going to bring out money from their pocket and put the money for you to help their children.

[00:10:34] Why would they want to pay you, why would they want to put their children online schooling as regular school? so think what’s the problem that they have with regular school or whatever it is, you see  Seline, there are many schools out there in short, if you walk out of your house,    you will see just out of the road you see most neighborhood would have one, two, three school. Especially in Nigeria. I know. Okay. So it’s, it’s extremely important that you clarify why your school is better,  more like why the solution that you’re bringing to your clients is better than, or is more appropriate for the person that is reading that message.

[00:11:20] Now that is very good. What you wrote that is Claire but I’d like you to even go deeper into the pain that the person has because as they’re scrolling through, when they there’s something that   pains them. And so as soon as they see your message, they’re like, huh, interesting.

[00:11:37] What is that? That’s what you’re looking for. So when you’re doing your videos, you do your videos with your messaging that is sharp, that is able to bring in people that want to watch you have, you don’t want to waste all of the time Online, you know, you want your time that you’re spending on social media to actually bring in results.

[00:11:59]If what you have is a little bit of time, you can use that little bit of time that you have to master your message and master it very well.

[00:12:08] So that as you’re spending, you know, the little time. Especially for some of you that are still working full time. The little time that you have to spend online, you want it to give you the best of the results. Okay. And so, you know, you have to do that and sharpen your message extremely clearly.

[00:12:27]And yeah,  ha there are six schools in my estate. Absolutely saline. Absolutely. There are schools everywhere. So you have to, first of all, find a way, what is my position? And we were doing this in the video masterclass, and I’m actually going to talk about that in a bit, for those of you that don’t know yet, my Academy just opened yesterday.

[00:12:47] Yay. Right. For those of you that are in the Academy, can you just comment and say what, how the experience has been for you? You can just put a comment here so that, you know, some other people can, can be a part of it. Now in the Academy, what we do is we clarify your messaging

[00:13:03] so you can sell more, clarify your messaging so you can build your audience so you can build not just audience, massive audience. It’s not so much about the huge number. It’s great to have great numbers. However, if you have great numbers and they don’t buy, or they don’t get what you want, then what’s the point.

[00:13:23] Okay. It’s been an experience, a exciting experience. I’m glad. I’m glad. Okay. Blessing said I provide legal services and dispute resolution. I also sell real estate and organic supplements. Okay. Now that, that is really good. You know, I provide legal services and dispute resolution.

[00:13:43]Let me just focus on Uzoamaka for a little bit. Usually when you’re online. Okay. When you’re sharing your messages online, it’s extremely important that you’re focused. What I would suggest is if you’re going to focus on three things like that, you would have three different platforms.

[00:14:02]except if you already have a massive following. Okay. If you already have a massive following and you have people everywhere that are already buying from you, what would be best is to. Strictly follow one platform and sell one thing.

[00:14:18] Now, a lot of people do it, you know, because  maybe personality wise they’re able to sell easily. But for the normal people, you know, for the average person like me, I would suggest that you take one thing. Take one platform and sell that. So if it’s your legal service, then what you need to do is you take your legal service and break it down to what differentiates you from the other legal practitioner.

[00:14:46]The other legal person that is next door. Okay, because I don’t know how many lawyers are out there now, but when we were in school, there were lots of people that were in the department of law. Okay, so it’s extremely important that you find a way to differentiate yourself.

[00:15:03] And if it’s the real estate you need to find a way to, make the person stop on social media and they’ve seen all this other posts about real estate, you want them to stop on your own and connects with you.

[00:15:17]And then they can ask you questions.  And if it’s the organic supplement doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t sell all of them, even though I would recommend that you focus on one you love and it’s going to bring you the great results.

[00:15:29] Maybe you already have some results on it. That’s the one that you should focus on and that one make your message really sharp. Okay. Very good. I see Imabongsaid counseling women in abusive relationship I get in there by giving them hope, inspiration, courage to rise above their situation and still fullfill purpose okay. I like that. Counsel women in abusive relationship now that is clearer that is clearer than they are abused and the battered, you want to really go narrow.

[00:16:03]Especially when you don’t have a huge audience yet . So, now you want to do this consistently share your message and do it consistently.

[00:16:12] I was saying in my video masterclass this last weekend we were drilling down on that. And this kind of things take time. And this is why I’ve created my Academy, where you’re able to fine tune your message and build your audience. Okay. With lots of videos.

[00:16:31]Last week I was talking about how it’s extremely important that you do videos two weeks ago. I was talking about videos, videos, videos. Okay. Right. You know, videos is one of the best things that social media has today. In shorts media in general, it’s video, video video.  So we’re going to be using a lot of that in the Academy, if you’re not yet a part of the Academy, what I’m going to do is I’m going to put a link to this and if you’re considering, and

[00:17:21]there’s a way you can maximize , the time that you spend on social media. First of all, evaluate where you are so you can know what exactly do I need to do in my own timing. Now, if you’re part of the Academy, this is what I do with you.

[00:17:35] And we’ll make sure that you’re not wasting your time on social media. Then you schedule social media into your plan. If you’re a full-time worker or you’re a full-time mom, or you’re a full-time pastor like me or your full-time wife or anything else that you have as your responsibility, you would realize that something that is not scheduled is not done.

[00:17:57]So I want you to  schedule social media into your platform into your daily activities. Okay. And then the question is how much time can I put, how do I know all of that? You know, you can comment  and if you ask questions, you can comment.

Hello everybody. if you’ve ever wondered,  how do I actually get more people to connect with on Facebook? This is the video for you today. I actually got this as a question, and I was going to answer the person. Then I was like, you know what?

[00:00:15]More people would want to hear this. So I decided that I was going to do this live, if you’re meeting me for the very first time, my name is Olu Sobanjo . If you’re watching this on YouTube, great job. I’m glad to meet you and glad to connect with you today. And for those that have just met, you know, I just concluded a challenge in my group there.

[00:00:35] Great job, everyone. It’s really amazing to meet new people. New. Influencers new difference makers, new entrepreneurs,  different people that are causing some change in different parts of the world. Great job, everyone. I’m glad to connect with you. And for those of you that hang out with me every week, you would already know that every week on Tuesdays at noon, mid midday, Eastern time, I’m always live to share different tips and different tricks that can help you.

[00:01:08] To  take your expertise to the next level to start selling your expertise  and getting paid for your knowledge. Okay.   So today we’re talking about how do you actually reach more people on Facebook? The question actually came with on Facebook and Instagram and disclaimer, I don’t do Instagram. However on Facebook, the question is how do I actually connect with more people that wants what I have,  as I’m sharing on Facebook, this is a problem that a lot of people have. This is not for those that are considering, I want to start sharing, but I don’t know how to, this is for.

[00:01:48]Those people that are already sharing, they’re already sharing on Facebook and they’re saying I’m doing all these things.  How do I make sure that I’m able to actually connect with more people? Okay. Now the first thing that you have to pay attention to is this.

[00:02:07] Facebook is a platform that was designed  way back in the days,  original design for Facebook was actually a group of students that  wanted to, create something that they can use to interact in their school.

[00:02:23] I think it was in the university.  Was it Stanford or one of those universities? And so they did that. I can’t remember whether it was a yearbook or something like that. And they decided that they were going to do it online. And then after they did that, they realized that more people wanted it.

[00:02:38] I remember when Facebook first came out, I was one of those people that said.  I’m not going to enter into it. Because my space was a thing that’s fine. Yeah. I’m that old, my space was there.

[00:02:50] Facebook was coming out and there were other social media things and they were new at the time, and people were beginning to connect to that and they wanted more of connection and I’m like, yeah, we already have cell phones.

[00:03:01] Let’s connect with cell phones. Right? No, but gradually what happened was it became a thing. And to the point now that it’s almost become like  the TV network, what the TV networks were doing back in the days, Facebook is providing now and social media is providing, and that’s why they call it social media, because it’s like a media, but now.

[00:03:25] In a way that is connecting people together. Why did I go into the details of that? I wanted you to go back to where it all started from I want you to know that Facebook is actually now a company. It’s not just a group of people. Facebook is a company that is looking for how, you know, they have bottom lines.

[00:03:46] Okay. I always work with people that want to build their businesses and turn it, you know, increase bottom line. Right. This is the same thing with Facebook. Facebook is a company and  even though it’s a social media that we all have free accounts on,  they still have to measure their own KPIs, you know, key performance index and all those big, big things that they measure.

[00:04:12] And how does that affect you and how does that affect your content and all of the things that you are doing online. Now, if you don’t remember that Facebook is  not just the platform is a company that is trying to grow. You will forget the fact that these people, they have to think of themselves first.

[00:04:33] And so when you want to go out there, when  go out there and you want to be able to connect with people, you have to think like the business owner, okay. The business owner that owns Facebook is thinking, how can I promote my thing ? Can Facebook continues to thrive.

[00:04:50] Compared to all the other platforms that are out there. Okay. That’s why when Instagram came out, it wasn’t Facebook that designed Instagram in the first place, Instagram came out, they bought Instagram so that they can continue to make it big. Now,  the good thing for us is. This companies are so big and they’ve given us this platforms that we can use to reach out to people that they have access to.

[00:05:16] So each one of us, we create our own individual platforms on Facebook. And I want to reach out to, you want to reach out to people that have platforms on Facebook? You have to find a way to see how can I design my content in a way that would allow Facebook  a company to build his own net worth and all of that.

[00:05:38] How can I help Facebook? Okay. You have to always be thinking like that. How can I help Facebook? Because if you don’t think like, how can I help Facebook? What would happen is you would just be doing what you think you want to do. Okay.

[00:05:52] There’s always a rule to the game.  People are hired in Facebook to make sure that Facebook do well. Now you have to position yourself as someone that wants Facebook to do well, because.

[00:06:03] Think of it. If Facebook doesn’t do well, you lose all your audience. Right? So now how do you not attract some more people  remember Facebook is trying to keep more people and they are trying to build their audience. They are trying to build their platform as the place to go to. Okay. Yeah.

[00:06:21]And if you are a person that creates content you do videos, you create posts, you do different things. Okay. What you would need to do is think like someone that is helping Facebook and now. You’re now come back to yourself.

[00:06:37] What is it that you’re trying to share with people? So today the post that I’m, the topic that I’m talking about today is actually a  question that I got this morning. Okay. Usually I go live every week on my Facebook page here, and I share something that would help my audience to build their business better.

[00:06:57] Okay. Something that would get you to have more impact and more profits.  If I go with the mindset of what I want to share, what would happen is it will get to a point. I will share what I think people want to hear but that may not be what they want to hear.

[00:07:13] This is the reason why I decided to take a question that I got from somebody that was asking me what do I do about this? How do I reach more people on Facebook? And so I decided to share that so that other people can get benefit from it.

[00:07:28]A lot of people go into starting to share on Facebook. And what we’ll do is  just take a random topic. Okay. You just take a random topic and use that to share. Now it’s a good thing. However, You have to remember, there’s always a rule to the game.

[00:07:44]And the very first rule that you need to master as soon as you’ve decided that you want to share your expertise on Facebook, whether you want to build followers or you want to,  make sales or whatever it is that you’re trying to do, you have to start with the person in mind that you’re trying to help.

[00:08:05] Okay, I’ll say that again. Don’t just go out there and start to create content, go with the mind of who is my message for now. A lot of times when I meet people, and this was the challenge that even I had at the beginning. The problem that most entrepreneurs, most influencers, most content creators would have is you go with the mind of, I can help the whole world and that’s the truth.

[00:08:33] Okay. However, it’s not really true. Okay. So the person that is going out there and you’re sharing a message online and you’re sharing to the whole world, what would happen is. Facebook would look at your information. Facebook will look at what you’re sharing. Remember what they’re trying to do is they are trying to keep more people on Facebook.

[00:08:56] They are trying to make Facebook, the place to go to. Remember back in the days where it was the cable network that people hung out with. Now, people hang out on Facebook and on social media, depending on which one you stay with.

[00:09:11] Okay. So now if you go out there and you start to share randomly like that,  what would happen is they throw it out there and when they throw it out there and they don’t see that people want to what you have, after a while, he starts to go down.  So this is why it’s extremely important that you pick an audience that you’re trying to reach out to.

[00:09:34]I want you to pick out an audience that cares enough to want more of what you’re saying.

[00:09:41]And when you do that, What would happen is this people will interact more with you. Now, if you love the content that you’re hearing here, can you say love, love, love in the comment  I just want to hear from you just put something in the comments, whether it thumbs up or something just put something there

[00:10:00]If this is helping you put it in the comments, because you see if you don’t interact with people and get questions that they are asking you, and you just create your own random thoughts. What will happen is it’s just going to be in the back-burner Facebook would think because people are not interacting

[00:10:19] you don’t put your energy into just creating content just randomly. Starts with the people that already ask you questions and then answer their questions. If you just go ahead and just create random remember, it’s going to go in the back burner and Facebook is not going to give it to anyone interactions.

[00:10:40]And you can learn from what I’m doing. I’m asking you to interact with what’s what’s going on. Right. Please. Don’t forget to share absolutely. Remember to share all of you that are watching.

[00:10:51] Please share if you think if it’s helping you, it may help another person. So now these are the same strategies that you’re going to be using in your own thing as well, because remember, we’re trying to help Facebook and as we’re helping Facebook, Facebook helps us.

[00:11:09] Now the algorithms have changed over the years and different things have come up. Okay. So I want you to always start from the point of I can’t just focus on just doing what I want to do.

[00:11:24]And you know why we do that? The reason why we do that is when you see the big shots out there. Okay. When you see the big shots out there, they, they just do anything, any small thing they do.

[00:11:38]If they’re the big shots out there now, the big shots, big brand names out there, they just take one small thing and they just,  go ahead and do something and when they do that, what happens is people begin to people begin to follow that example. For example, even right now, you would go ahead and you say, I want to just share something that Oprah did or something that T D Jake’s did. Okay. Now what TD Jakes  did TD Jakes can do that because it’s TD Jakes. You know, you can’t do that. You have to look at what is it that people know me for. And then I go with that.

[00:12:16]For example I have somebody different people doing you know, comments in the, in the post. Even sometimes the negative comments, the negative comments, they even help you. Okay, because they still give you interactions. Okay. So it’s extremely important. You get interactions in all that you’re doing get interactions in all that you’re doing.

[00:12:37] Who are the people that ask you questions? You now have to consistently stay there and keep answering questions until something great comes out.

[00:12:49] Okay. So this is, this is one major way that I’d like to share with you today. First of all a lot of people share online. In short, I am one of those people that tell people, do videos, do videos, do videos, do videos. And the more you think about it, the more videos we do, the more, the more difficult it is for Facebook to know how to distribute those videos.

[00:13:14] Okay. And so the ones that go too wide, Facebook doesn’t really know what to do with you. Okay with your content, you would try to share it. Remember Facebook is trying  to increase their own market share. And so if you produce something that would increase their market share, that will keep more people with them, they’ll be very happy with you. They will help you promote it. They will help you share it. Okay.

[00:13:44] Now there are other things that you can do, things like you can share your posts in different places. Now don’t go sharing your posts in groups  they would send you out of their groups. If there’s a rule in that group , that you can share. Then you can share into your different groups that you own. Okay. But if it’s not your group, you don’t want to do that because even Facebook would block you  from doing that because there are rules to the game.

[00:14:11]We’re going to be having the video masterclass on Saturday.  For those of you that are not registered yet. One major thing that we’re going to be doing during the video masterclasses, is this, . I just explained to you now that people that need to what your have, if you can fine tune your message to the point where you’re doing your video for them. What happens is facebook will begins to work for you.

[00:14:38] Okay. Social media begins to work for you because if you don’t do that way, you will have to pay to get them to hear you. As a matter of fact, I have big groups and even in my group there are different strategies. If you don’t use those strategies, Not all the people that are in your group have find them.

[00:14:56] Why? Because Facebook would like you to, to contribute to making Facebook work. Right. You know, you contribute to your payments or money to, to advertise to people in your group, even though they are in your group or even your fans, the fan base that you have in your Facebook page, you still need to market to get to them, but there are ways around it,  I’ve shared some of it today, interaction, get them to share, get them to like, get them to come and get them to interact with you.

[00:15:23] Now, this masterclass that’s happening on Saturday is a smaller group that I can take you through the system that I use. And we take a look at your message and the kind of videos that you should be doing. How do you get topics that you should be talking about?

[00:15:42] How do you find the people that are interested in what you have? How do you do all of these things? There’s a process that I take my clients through. Now, the video masterclass is like the entry level way of actually getting me to work with you. Okay. Now, like I said to work with me one-on-one, or even in my advanced programs you pay from from $1,500 to $5,000.

[00:16:08] I have programs in different ranges like that. Okay. But this time around, because I am just building up my Academy, I am creating this video masterclass path that actually allows you too. I work with you on Saturday. We work to develop what you have and it’s, it’s smaller group. It’s very small group and  I would have the time to look at your information one by one, and then we go through and create a path specifically for you, because we’re all different.

[00:16:39]Now, when you get that, you also get me for a whole month in the Academy. Okay. So this is like the best way to enter into  getting my hands on your business, on your. Videos. Okay. Or on your services. This is not for everyone.

[00:16:58]This is for anyone that is trying to monetize your message.  You want to have a process to get money coming in so that you can do more of the good that you love to do like this online, you’re sharing with people for free. Nobody pays you for it.

[00:17:15] But you still go ahead and do it, but there must be a way to get paid for what you’re doing. Right? This is where I come in.  I want you to have a path that generates money for you. Okay. And it’s also for you, if you’re ready to take your business to the next level.

[00:17:32] So you have physical products or services that you sell and you want clear and faster track to get you to start getting paid fast. One of my clients said to me I didn’t believe that I could get paid for service, because I thought it was just for the very smart people that can get paid for their expertise. And, but the truth of the matter is we’re all experts at different things. So if you can find out what your own expertise is, which is what we’re going to do together, You know, and, and you develop a system that turns your expertise, for example, I’m sharing this with you now, free of charge I’m spending this 30 minutes or thereabouts with you, free of charge ? And I do that because I have my clients pay me. Right, how do you now have that path  that creates some funds for you?

[00:18:29] So you can do all the things that you love.  For me, my husband and I pastor a church and the moment we sense that God wants us to go to another place; like right now I’m doing, I’m doing this in Cornwall, Ontario a year ago, I was not in Cornwall, Ontario.

[00:18:44] I was in Nigeria somewhere doing ministry. Now, as soon as we believe that God wants us to go somewhere else. You know, Japan? you know, today in my church, we’re praying for Japan,    could it be Japan that we’re going next? Why not? Let’s go. I’m not tied to a job. I can go anywhere and I continue to hang out with my friends online like this, and I’m gone and do business with do ministry and I hang out with my children. After the video master class for one week I’m going to be off. I’m just going to take time off. Why? Because I can okay. So I want you to have a path. Okay, that would give you that kind of system in place in your message and your business.

[00:19:27]A lot of the people that I work with, you really want to help people and you really want to serve the community. You are serving the community already, but then for you to be able to do more of it, money has to come in from somewhere. Right. You know, because if I sit down with you here and I’m not sure where money is going to come from, I’m not going to do it again.

[00:19:46] Right. You know, but we want the goods that you have to continue to be spreading out. Like that. You Need A Lucrative Strategy For Your Videos

There are so many good-quality videos that nobody finds. YouTube doesn’t know, and it’s not gonna give your message to people, except if it follows a rule. And the rules are always changing with SEOs, so this is why I wouldn’t want to spend a lot of energy and time investing in a videographer to come now. Doing a great quality video, it’s like writing books

Writing books. That does not bring you out there. Writing books just make you have your book written. And in paper form, you can give it to people. You can sell it, but it doesn’t mean that it turns to money tomorrow. A lot of people would write books and they would pile them in their garage. And they pay thousands of dollars to do that, but it doesn’t turn into money. So is there a way to get your thing out there and actually get people to begin to see you find them where they are and begin to talk to them and sharpen your message clearly in such a way that people would want what you have, because what would happen is you do the videos, your friends or families who say, wow, great job!

And that’s where it ends. Maybe one or two other people will find it. So, then I began to ask myself, why did I waste all the time to do all of that? If it’s only my friends and my mom and my dad that will see it, great job. Because my mom and dad found it though. However, it doesn’t add money to my pocket. If I’m trying to do videos, that will bring me money. If I’m trying to, get my products out there, my message, you know, the transformation that I have got in my life and I want to bring it to other people. If it’s become a story that’s just hidden, then what’s the point.

How I Started The Process Of Setting My Personal Priorities To Find More Time

I decided to focus on how to set personal priorities in this post following the response I got from last week’s post on how to find time to pursue your dreams and goals.

A few years ago I struggled with an excruciating stomach ulcer…

It got so bad that one day, I told my darling hubby:

“I think I need to fast and pray so I can finally get rid of this stomach ulcer”

The pain was beginning to alter my life and responsibilities.

I’m that kind of person, I always want to get rid of problems. But this one was getting out of hands. And I started thinking that this kind only goes out- only by prayer and fasting, hence what I told my hubby.

I was slightly annoyed at his response 🙂

And I think you would be too 🙁

Ok maybe not, let me not judge you in advance 🙂

Try to understand my plight a little…Ok, picture this: you’re struggling and in pain, what do you need? I dont know about you, usually I wish that I could always be pampered. Especially back then, I didn’t want to ever hear that I was wrong.

His response, though it was what I needed to here, sounded to me as judgmental, at least at first.

Ok now, I’m sure you’re wondering he said.

Here you go:

He smiled (if you know my sweet hubby you can also picture that nice Pst Ade’s smile) and he said:

“I don’t think what you need is fasting and prayers, I think what you need is to stand on what God has done already”

It took me some minutes before I could let go of what he said and actually think about it for real.

That comment was exactly what I needed, and that was what led me to a place of clarity on how stressed I was. This was the process that started my journey to complete healing from the stomach ulcer.

Now, what’s the correlation to setting personal priorities?

You see, at that time I was so stressed but for some reason I was still living my life, juggling all the responsibilities I had. I made sure I showed up for everyone and anyone. I was constantly volunteering to help whenever needed.

I was so sure that as long as I had a little window, I cant accommodate any call of duty. I was cruising through life, business and ministry. I was a ‘superwoman’! The only nagging thing was the unbearable stomach ulcer I sometimes had to deal with.

This way of life to me was the way to be a blessing to my world.

Thank God for the stomach ulcer, I would not be where I am today.

I had learned to norm the call of God inside me.

Gradually, I began to realize that one of my main problem was that I had not learned to set my personal proirities. It was a long jouney back and I can tell it all here.

There were 3 questions that I answered that really helped me to put my personal priorities out.

  1. How do you want to be remembered?
  2. What’s most important to you?
  3. How do you want to get from where you are to where you want to be in the future?

The more I tried to answer these 3 questions the more I realized that I didn’t want to be remembered as that stressed lady that helped people but she was always having issues with her tummy. Note that this was my personal experience and not a way to see anyone else.

The only response I’m suggesting is that if you are feeling stressed in any way but for some reason, you think there’s more to your life than this. Or if you just wish that your time would be expanded, maybe you need to check your personal priorities.

Again, the journey involved a lot of things and people that God used to open my eyes.

And now, it’s not only that I’ve been healed, I also have a firm grip on my calendar.

I’m able to do every single thing I believe I need to do. I don’t feel stressed about my time and I have processes in place which also work for on-going life/business/ministry management.
